If I were in the market for a stick vacuum in this price range, the features of the s12 would be very appealing. But my primary concern would be about the long-term ability to get parts and service. At $120 for my Moosoo, if it breaks in 18-24 months, I'll buy another vacuum without any worry. But if a $700 vac breaks, I want to know it can be fixed. With Dyson, I'm fairly certain they will be around and supported in 3-5+ years. How long as Tineco been on the market? Is it a real company or just a marketer of white box goods?

Dang, if there ever was a stick vac to make me give up my Dyson V7, this is it. Also, the technology to adjust suction based on a dirt sensor has been around for a while: Kenmore's higher-end Progressive uprights from the mid-2000's had that, and it worked as well as it does on the Tineco. So props to Tineco for making it work in a cordless model!

Super easy to use and does a decent job. I've got lots of vacuums at home - high end vacuums with cords attached - but the Dyson is the one I use and enjoy for regular cleanings. @stevejones19725 жыл бұрын
Good review, but you didnt talk about the pre-motor filter, the speed at which it gets clogged, and the system they supply to help clean the filter, ie, the special tool that clips on the front of the bin. From another review by channel "Beko1987", who has one of these in the UK, he pointed out that the pre-motor filter gets dirty and clogged very quickly, and needs constant attention to cleaning it. This aspect is not so good for such an expensive vacuum and the Dyson V11 clearly is better on its dirt separation technology and not needing constant attention to the pre-motor filter.
@blakaeg5 жыл бұрын
I've seen the V11 with clogged filters in the store I demo every other day. The Dyson rep has clearly pointed out that the filter on the V10 and V11 clogs very quickly. Even be as a rep is disappointed in the Dysons. He has a Bosch Athlet at home.
@blakaeg5 жыл бұрын
Dyson V11 cyclone separation is not brilliant. The Dyson rep I work with has shown me how the filter clogs on the V10 and V11 very quickly. He as a rep for Dyson is not impressed. At least Tineco you don't have to wait ages whilst the filter dries. Just place it in its clever device and use again.
@s-tiergaming63785 жыл бұрын
I have a V10, and even with fine dust I don't get the filter clogged :/
@nzjustin84205 жыл бұрын
@@blakaeg Tineco's filter cleaning device is garbage. Does nothing except cosmetically disguise the lack of cyclonic filtration. Dyson's filtration isn't perfect but it's leapyears ahead of what Tineco and others are doing.
@stevejones19725 жыл бұрын
According to channel Beko1987, who also has one of these, he says its big drawback is that pre-motor filter - it gets clogged with fine dust very quickly as it does not have multi-cyclonic separation like a Dyson cordless does, and that means it loses suction regularly, The Tineco is supplied with 2 foam pre-motor filters, which you keep swapping round when they get clogged with dust, and the filter cleaning tool that clips on the outlet of the bin just sucks the dust off the dirty filter, straight onto the cleaned on you have just put in the vacuum, so its a useless gimmick, and it uses the vacuum on MAX power to clean the filter as well, so you need a lot of battery power to operate the filter cleaning tool. These are not recommended over the Dyson model V8 which they are modeled on, and are way overpriced for what is effectively a Chinese built Dyson V8 clone.

Tineco's customer support for consumers outside of the US (I'm located in Canada) is really poor. You cannot buy most of the replacement components from the Canadian website, even though they are in stock in on the US site (and the US site will convert currencies - it just won't work for shipping). There's a phone number you call that goes unanswered, and email correspondence is very slow with getting one reply per 24 hours that comes in between 2am-4am EST. This is not a heavy duty work vacuum. Maybe I got a faulty one or that’s just how these cordless vacuums are. We used it on my dad’s property that has workers constantly going through the main lobby - small but dirty carpet floor. The small tank filled up very quickly. On top of that, the filter became clogged very quickly which caused the “blocked airway/filter” icon to flash. Every 2-5 minutes it was an annoying combo of the tank is full and the filter is clogged. The screen wasn’t very useful but looked futuristic. Yes it shows you when the carpet is getting very dirty but I found that it doesn’t really matter since it auto adjusts anyway I guess it was useful to show me that the filter was clogged. Also the dirt sensor kept getting red even when I passed the same area like 7 times. Maybe it doesn’t even detect dirt but just detects how much resistance it’s getting from the carpet. Battery life was fantastic - it was cleaning on max power for a long time and in total we got close to an hour with both batteries - with one battery still having about 48% For small homes and low maintenance, it did just fine. For really big dirty jobs, it did well, but having to empty the dust bin and swapping/cleaning filters every 5 minutes it was super annoying. I’m not sure yet if I’m going to return it or not. I want to know if maybe I had a faulty vacuum, and also if that’s just the nature of cordless vacuums. I may switch to the Dyson V11 or a Dyson corded vacuum not sure yet.

yes it is... I was going back and forth between tineco s12 and Dyson V11 and finally ended up with tineco... I actually like the dust detection.. I noticed it works really good and make the battery last.. I also tested both vacuums cleaning my car, and tineco won for me with their suction adjustment and crevice tool, which was more narrow and smaller to get in between seats... Dyson crevice tool was to open, and to get stronger suction I always had to have it on MEDIUM settings aka AUTO, and actually had to put some scotch tape on the holes at the end of crevice tool, to make the suction even stronger.. Cleaning car without holding the ON switch was also amazing (tineco s12 has trigger)... IF, Dyson will ever add ON OFF switch, and LEDs, and make the crevice tool more narrow without drilling side holes... I will consider it again!

Anyone got issue adding device to app? I've tried both automatic and manual to no avail. I can't even connect to its broadcasted SSID on manual method. It got stuck on obtaining IP address, then it dropped me off. Tried with all 3 mobiles, same things happened. If anyone has a solution, much appreciated if you can share. Their support is useless so far.

Test these machines with a full bin. Those that rely on filters to capture dirt loose significant performance after one full bin.

So you mean to tell me that if the filters are clogged the vacuum won’t perform as well? Who would of thought?

10minutes if you're vacuuming carpet?? that's just horrible if you have your own cleaning business you'd have to buy about 4 to 6 batteries to be on the safe side. and the price is way to much for it to do so lil. anyways thanks for the review keep up the good word!

They sell the A10 Hero and some accessoires already on Amazon. A11 and the S12 are coming mid of July.

In my opinion it doesn’t beat the V11 especially being that there the same price

Nice vac... but not sure it's worth the money. I'll stick with my Shark... the best economical vacuum out there hands down. Great review, thanks!
