I'm not from the same region as Tineke Schouten, but there is the extra layer of 'magic' that makes this kind of vocal comedy work, for the Dutch at least, and that is the accent and dialect she uses during this kind of sketches. I think she wouldn't have been this popular if she'd just speak standard Dutch.

There is a lot of word play and use of dutch dialect that makes this even funnier if you speak dutch that gets lost in english translation. Tineke is legendary.

I have sp much respect for Tineke Schouten, have met her many times and the last time a few months ago she asked me how it was with my girlfriend, which she also have known. Then i told her that she passed away 5 years ago and she was shocked and she said; she was not so old,right!? And she said about her illness (kidneydisease where she passed away from) And last year in 2023 Tineke lost her husband. That went really fast☹️. That's why i have so much respect for Tineke! 🙏❤️

Haha and it's so relatable, they have the deepfryer in the shed so to get the deepfried snacks she has to keep walking back and forth for those guys her husband keeps inviting. My godmom also had the deepfryer in the shed. I guess it spares your house from frying smells but what if it rains?

as a dutch person: i think this sketch is funny because of her accent. in the netherlands we have a lot of dialects and accents, really dont underastemate how many dialects a small country in europe could have. of course there a lot of things to like about this sketch, but the dutchies love tineke schouten for the many types she playes and her humor and dialect combo jokes

It's not so much a dialect. More like city slang from Utrecht. You would call that a 'vulgarism'.

Loving this, very much because of how it was translated. I like languages and all the sorts of fun you can have with translating, Dutch (my native language) is hilarious to play around with. If your English is good there is soooo much you can fool around with it. Now, I don’t always like Tineke’s sense of humor, but the translation added a new way to appreciate it!

I love you’re shocked reactions in some parts, those are te funniest😂 Like, people may go oh uhh, shameless, gross, but it’s really funny how she plays with that. I’m Dutch and a fan of Tinenke Schouten, I don’t know how I ended up on your channel but nice that someone subtitled this, really really well done! In Dutch its even more funny because of the accent and speech, but I think her vibes and words come pretty well across so. She likes to make fun of daily life, make people laugh about it, because life is hard.

Early shows from najib amhali are also very funny. He tells a lot of jokes from the perspective of a morrocan living in the netherlands. Morrocan is the biggest non native population in the netherlands. He gives a great perspective on lots of weird customs in the netherlands and dutch culture in general.

not all translates great you guys missing out of some details of the jokes. 10:25 ish it translate Lucy pussy but in Dutch it's ruth jacott, she is a singer in the Netherlands. but the comedian says rutjekut basically how you pronounce that name with a slight accent/dialect and kut is pussy and this goes on the entire act such word plays and name plays in a accent/dialect
