REVIEW of Godox PROPAC Lithium Power Pack PB960

In this review of the Godox PROPAC Lithium Power Pack PB960 geni.us/GodoxPack
This has been a staple of my camera bag throughout my career. From shooting bands and weddings through to using it as a location light power supply for portraits and food photography off camera flash. This godox flash battery pack is also made by the neewer flash company, I am 99.9999999% sure they are the exact same thing.

FYI everyone, the TT685 has a recycle time of 0.7 seconds when connected to PB960 power pack via the 2 to 1 cable Godox DB-02, shown in this video

Can I use the external battery pack connected to the speedlite without AA batteries in it? Also do I need that double power cord or can I plug my speedlite in the single power slot? I can’t tell if mines working

I was just using my PB960 (connected to Canon flash) and it started crackling and smoking, I quickly turned it off. Any idea what it could be? I might have reached 1800 flashes(?) Thx!

There are two connections on this device. Can it power two speed lights at once? I've seen pictures of the PB960 with two cables connected to a single cable, er? Do you have a video on the cables? Thanks

Anyone knows what Godox cable needed for ATG/Metz 76MZ-5? Are these cables compatible to use with ATG/Quantum Turbo Battery Pack series?

FYI, a little alternate method of hanging those batteries, if you dont want to spend $10 for the battery to stand holder, and MORE importantly, you don't want to struggle taking them off, as I have a pair, but I switched....To using a hook&loop cord tie. I have the cord tie on the Y adapter wire, and simply tie it to my C-stands. It makes setup and tear down faster, and you can use the tie to store the cords neatly. Btw, the AD360's work great.

I have 2 of them, using them with the 2 x Godox TT685's I use. Turns the Godox TT685 into a powerhouse 1800 full power flash output per charge and much faster recycling time! I use these when I need lazy light. I also have 2 x Godox AD200's, AD600 TTL and 2 x MS300's. When in studio, I use whatever is available at that studio, usually Broncolor.

@@ndon85 Yes, TT685 will still need batteries inside flash to power display. power pack supplies power to flash tube

Great packs. I have one with my Pixapro Hybrid 360 llight. The connectors are a weak point on them but if you take care they will last ok. This pack is the only reason I have kept that light and not replaced it with an AD200 setup.

I bought two of these used for $80(USD). Batteries never die. If you shoot any events with a flash you need this otherwise risk looking like a jackass waiting for your flash to recharge.

great video! when you do connect the power pack to a tt685 speedlight, do you still need to install batteries in the speedlight or just use the power pack to power the speedlight?

TT685 stills needs batteries installed.... batteries runs power for flash display, power pack supplies power to the flash tube

​@@TinHouseStudioUK I'm sorry if i wans't clear enough, i'm speaking about of the output voltage from the connector of the PB960... I can see that u are using a canon flash, so the connector type is the PB-Cx, i'm right? so i want to know which voltages comes out from the connector. It would be really nice to know because i'm with a project to build it with a rectifier, that's why i want to know exacly the voltages, thanks anyway.
