Thanks for that Martin, just shows how much you put into the restorations behind the scenes. I also miss the live streams, although usually caught up in the evening, thought you were going to continue them on your other channel. That brings back memories, I used to work in a digital printing factory and you needed a graphic designer to do the artwork before printing anything using Photoshop, Quark Express and Illustrator. Our machine was a Signtech 16ft printer and the rolls were 100m x up to 16ft wide. We also sprayed the lacquer on as it was simpler than laminating. How things have simplified these days.

Ooo a Granada and Triumph Dolomite fan and what looks like a tidy 1500TC in the pic next to the scan :) I have had a few Dolomite's myself and had a lovely burgundy 1500TC, also a pale yellow 1500 FWD which was the original platform for the Dolomite and the only nut and bolt restore I did was my gawjus 1850HL which I took apart and restored and was a proper star at the classic shows... then me brother borrows it, gets a flat on the Blackwall tunnel approaches, instead of finding clearly marked jacking points he put me high lift trolley jack that was in the boot square in the middle of the front passenger footwell and heaves the poor beastie up into the air and I wasn't aware of problems until I drove it and the car kept veering left so had tracking and cambers all checked, not a problem and me mate whose ramp it was up on said to me you are gonna cry at this. So he aims his torch and we walks up and down the whole underside and I felt like I been murdered, where all the weight was put on the footwell panel, it pulled out of true half the car, chassis rails had torn their welds and I was told it was gonna be thousands to get all stripped down, trued up, rewelded (welding in the 90's was heinously expensive as was jigging rental) then reassembled and I had spent my last shekels on finishing the poor thing and my heart was broken.

Oh and brother ended up with a cracking black eye that took weeks to heal and he had to wear dark glasses for nearly a month the git grr.

I never knew such a cutting device existed. I have just started to print my own Cassette Shell Labels , Would that cutter be able to cut out the middle bit of the label where the wheel spools and cassette window go ?

Hi Martin. When you say you buy the white vinyl in 330mm x 5mtr rolls do you have to select the 380mm roll from MDP Supplies then cut it down to 330mm.

It would depend on the cutter and the type of vinyl, you just get a feel for it.

Hi Gary, I watched most of the vid. You put way too much easy start in the engine at the end bud. If you have spark, it should have fired. Take the plug out and hold it next to the engine casing and see it it sparks when you pull the cord. If not, change the plug and try again.

@@retrorestore i have added more videos from todays go martin i checked the coil with a multimeter and that seemed fine i show what i did in the video also after putting it all back together i got it to start and run but there was fuel leaking from the tank not sure if that is from maybe to much fuel in the tank if you get 10 minutes have a look see what you think i have bought one of them spark plug tester you use and the compression test kit i have also a plug on its way from ebay im thinking is it a carb problem and is it worth taking the risk and buying a new one for £15.00
