They are both nice saws for sure. I like that you can grind the divider on the 365 xtorq transfer covers and have a 372 XT, or eventually swap it all over to an XP (or big bore) top end. I think the 562xp would be best for the guy that just wants to go cut lots of wood, the 365 XT for the hobbyist that enjoys to mod as there are tons of options and aftermarket parts available.

Beautiful video, my friend! Really appreciate your comments about positivity, which is why you have attracted so many great subscribers! 👍💪🙏 As far as saws close to that class, I keep coming back to the Husqvarna 359. Probably my favorite all-around firewood and smaller tree cutting saw. Back when they were regularly sold, the price point was good, and I think the value is great!

I've replaced my old 272XP with a 572 and the 365. 365 isn't here yet, had to mail order one, local shops don't carry them. Piped the 572, horrible OEM muffler, horrific in fact. Thanks for not forgetting the seldom talked about 365.

The best is the one that gets your job done with the least work. Every tree and every job is different. For me that generally means a factory hot rod. A mod saw would be nice and I watch this channel to motivate me build a kinda big slightly hot rod. Backup will be the stock pro saws. 346xp and ms360. A mod 70ish cc would be fun. A 2511t is also on the to do list.

My 1990 262 still my all time favourite. Got farmertec 372 this fall. Impressed with it. But, G660 & G395 are both 8kg bare weight, exactly same as G372 I’d already ordered. To reverse my buyers remorse I’ll get one of these next. Gotta love Farmertec, built for the working man

I’m late but it was a great video. My favorite is what I can afford and have. Nice point about the long bar and it being away being better. But I think an 18 inch bar really wakes up a 60 cc saw. My husky 460 became more fun when I went from 24 down to an 18. But to each his own. Saws are like people each have good in them if you look!
@MitchellsBackyardLogging2 жыл бұрын
I agree on the 562 i have a ton of saws and i grab my 562 98% of the time and if i had to pick only one saw 562 would be it. Just cause its light fuel efficient and it will pull a long bar about as good as the 572xp
@mikegott33642 жыл бұрын
No they won’t! I have both, ported and stock
@chaddean30832 жыл бұрын
24 inch on either is a wash in most wood, over 28 and the edge goes to the 572xp in hard wood. But the old 562 still impresses.
@MitchellsBackyardLogging2 жыл бұрын
@@chaddean3083 ill agree with that i use 70 cc and bigger for larger stuff and 60 and smaller for little wood but i still run longer bars on them just cause i normally dont bury them in wood

If the 562 could pull a bar as well as the 572 , they wouldn’t make a 572. There’s no replacement for displacement.
@MitchellsBackyardLogging6 ай бұрын
@@DoyleShadduck oh there is if u get someone porting them that knows what there doing and i said they do about as well not as good of course anything bigger is gonna be stouter but as far as power to weight the 562 is superior it amazes me the amount of dumb people that comment on u tube like yall three are the only ones that knows a 572 is stouter than a 562

Congratulations on 27k well deserved. Both saws looked to cut that punky willow...😆, with ease as they should. But the difference in weight would give the edge to the 562 in my book. Both wonderful saws. Nice to see stock saws run. Kind & healthy thoughts for Mrs. Tinman, TC Tinman Mahalo🤙🤙🤙

Hey Tinman, very solid approach I would say. People have different needs and are build physically their own way. It is good to hear your thoughts on various saws because few of us have access to so many different types of saws as you do. The kid in the local shop often only knows enough saw basics to sell the odd one and may be well meaning but really doesn’t have saw background. I just scored a Jonsered 2165 and although I have never used one I feel good that its a fit for me in large from watching your vids….and thanks for them.

Willows are for wooden shoes; They don't split... Well said, there is no saw that is best. Only the best for you to do with it! I like making modifications on saws, but not pushing them to the limit. I've never used a timing wheel, just two-stroke logic And it works for me!

My favorite for smaller stuff is my 257 w/20" bar & a full house chain. It's a perky saw. Very old, like me. Had it since new and just good maintenance and it's still a ripper. Bigger stuff, my 288 xp. That's another story. 🙃

Love your content Tinnan. I'm on my third build, thanks to your "how to port a power saw series" first build was a 52cc Dolmar 111i. Really happy with the results....especially now it has a second muffler mod done. Second build was very mild....a Chinese 372 copy....only did the transfers and a base gasket delete....exhaust opens at 96 ATDC so didn't want to move it up any more. I am wondering what you normally find exhaust opens on a genuine 372. Currently working on a Dolmar 115. Same as the 111 but closed port. Going back together tomorrow. Cant wait to ring that...building an iron horse muffler for that one. Got a few stock Stihl saws 018, 034. 500i and a Homelite 330. Want to add a couple of huskys to the mix. All saws make me happy. Thanks for your channel. Hope Mrs Tinman and bub are well.

I got a bunch of saws. Usually I go with the 353xpg and 15" or 550xpg with 13". If its larger trees I'll bring with me the 560xpg and 18". But the 372xpg with 20" usually stays at home, its good but just to heavy to carry around. This is my standard set up. I think they are best balanced with those bars. And there aren't any big trees around here in mid sweden anyway. I have longer bars that I can use but it just feels like they are in the way and I loose a lot of speed. Maybe its worth to notice that xpg is a bit heavier than an xp due to handle heating, and I'm quite short. Anyway I fully agree that everyone should use the saw they like. There is not such a thing as a perfect saw for everyone and every job.

Great video....I own more saws than I can count off the top of my head. Every one of them does something better than the others. And to be honest, sometimes the mildest saws get the nod just because they are easy to start, run and are good on fuel. My 2258 and 2159 are my most used saws just for that reason. I have the "pro" versions of both, yet often they're more than you need and the increase in power is no advantage. I consider the 2258 and 2159 the best firewood saws ever made for the average person. Yet when the wood is bigger, twisted and hard I'll grab my 2165. You just learn with time what saw does what job well.

If you like saws, you probably have a few of them. It is interesting to me to see which saw I grab, and why. Sometimes I grab the muffler modded Dolmar 510, even though it is heavy, and not super fast, just for fun. It is smooth, and gets the job done, and who cares about 1 second when you are working. For bigger wood, I always grab either the Dolmar/Makita 7910 or Jonsred 2071 (372), both of which have longer bars and rip good. But, some years I have cut more than 1/2 of the wood with a 50cc saw, Dolmar, Echo, Poulan - whatever, if the chain is sharp. Old saws sometimes for nostalgia. But, my best all around saw for regular sized firewood is definitely the Jonsred 2260 (562). Light, fast, nimble, and solid once you figure out the stay at high idle for a half minute when starting sometimes, and set high idle when hot starting. Autotune is great, but different if you are used to regular saws. Keep up the videos. Appreciate them.

I jave a 550xpmk2, 562xp and a 592xp. 562 and 592 both run 28" bars full comp square ground chisel and the 550 gets a 20" bar. I honestly dont even know what to use the 550 for anymore lol. I can just use the 562 for light and medium cuts with the 28" or a 20". I love the 550mk2 but that thing is just too damn fast for light work and too small for the other stuff since i have the 562xp but i wouldn't get rid of the 550. In texas jere we have fat oak trees and pecan. Last pecan tree i cut was about 3.5 feet in diameter took that down with the 562xp before i got my dream saw 592xp.
