Give a person a fish, they eat for a day, teach a person to fish and they eat for a life time. Thank you for teaching us to fish...😊 especially with a chainsaw...😂. Taking builds is like fixing a buddies saw all of a sudden it always your responsibility if the saw stops working even if its 5 years and 100 cords later..😮. TC Mahalo Tinman 🤙🤙🤙

I built my 390xp with the hyway bigbore kit, makes it 99cc, u will need to grind on the cases to allow clearance for the piston, really really boosted the power then i went and ported it, it ground ok no chips so that was good, i have a 394 im collecting parts for, cant wait to get bearings and a clutch cover and ill have a complete saw, good luck to anyone doing a 390 bigbore it was a fun build

Hi, I will be interested on your ideas on what can be done to 254XP's simply to improve performance. I have six of these saws so it is obvious I like them.

Hello! I have a question, if I put 3 compression segments on a 036, will there be any difference?
@NickTaylor-lm1lv6 күн бұрын
Man it be nice to have a built 395 with 42 inch or bigger. I find myself more here lately on 7 plus feet maple stumps and my little 500i gets em done but I just don't like the stress on the saw.

I had a clone saw that wouldn't tune with any of the knock off carbs that I tried. I broke down and bought the OEM Walbro. The difference was night and day. I'm a believer in the factory carbs from stihl and husky now.....they are worth the extra money.....might even save your saw

I have built a ms 660 opened up the transfers and put the iron horse pipe on it for slabbing I have only tested this saw out it seems to be ok but am thinking about changing the port timing would you recommend doing that for a slabbing saw and what numbers would you stick to?
@tinmanssaws4 күн бұрын
Keep the exhaust roof low, keep intake timing below 160 total opening should work.
@brendenleach4074 күн бұрын
Thanks mate. So don't touch the exhaust? This has a lot of compression it pops the decomp every other pull
