Nice job. I dry shrink b/g much faster though. And shave the edges of side glass. I use no hard cards when I shape side or back glass either. Have been tinting glass since 1979.

Nice job!!! On the sides I usually use my head to hold the glass away from the seal and the film pretty much drops in. On the bg did you leave a little extra and cut later or just go for it? Couldn't tell.

Good job. Didn't see your prep on the dot matrix. I sand with a fine grit. I have a Vette coming up. I've done 3 but they always kick my butt. Using Suntek Carbon. Btw, a peel board is a good thing!

What's your start to finish time on that? You guys cut off of customers glass. Hell with that. I always use a click and make a outline around the glass. After I shrink it, I trace it out with a permanent marker. Then use my olfa to cut out the out line on glass that we use to cut from. I've seen lots of people cut the back glass of those corvette's trying to tint them out.

question: how often are you changing out your blades? or you use something different? i heard the material will dull out blades quickly. and the person I heard this from is the instructions manual in the box of tint I bought from lowe's. TY

@TintStuff corvette is more difficult wouldnt say hard, and i used to use maxpro... it turned purple on me... used llumar atc when it first came out had adhesive failure and terrible customer support, now using huper optik and johnson. Good videos man, you do a ton of pointless things but all in all good videos and as long as the work comes out clean and satisfactory it doesnt matter.

can you please give me some insight to how you got those side windows so perfect? I have tried about 4 or 5 times with good film and cannot get it to shrink with this curvature of the window. It creases constantly. Seriously need help here...

@TintStuff in my opinion dark matter looks good but id trust johnson over it beings thats it a long living brand i.e. the marathon line legal blocks alot of heat and is at a great price.... you may like dark matter but ive used alot of cheap tint and can almost tell from the smell of it when i release the liner it smells too familiar of some cheap tint..... and as for uploading a video i will one day possibly but when im working i dont have time to be videoing im tryin to get the car done.

Great informative videos, but why not throw the liner on the floor vs throwing it up on the car? I keep my Vette spotless, and wouldn't appreciate the soapy liner being tossed up on my clean car.

How do u think tint is layed? U have to use a water/soap compound. Yes he uses a lil more water then he should be this is his way and he is very good. Trust me ur electronics are gona be ok.. Lol

How should one go about confronting a tint shop that scratched a part of the car and chipped the class. Side note car was picked up after the business hrs for that day car was tinted On Friday and shop opens on Monday

Jacob Owenby tell them it wasn't there before you brought the car in, mind you they may just tell you to fuck off and say it was already there, there isn't really much you can do other than hope the shop you brought it to is trustworthy and honest
