Tinting The Scatpack Widebody Challenger+Dealership Messed Up UPDATE

Today we went to get the Scatpack Challenger tinted at one of my favorite and reliable tint shops in the bay area. They were super fast and effective and added to the character Challenger while also eliminating the fishbowl look. I also talk about what went wrong on delivery day of my car a couple weeks ago at the dealership!

Thanks for the great video. For those of you who are young, inexperienced, who do not know, whatever...here's some important info when purchasing/picking up a new car from a dealership (presumably a mainstream dealership, not Joey's used cars).... 1) When you order a new vehicle, get EVERYTHING in writing. That means the contract, amount agreed to for any trade, TOTAL purchase price of the new vehicle. 2) On the day you show up to pick up your new vehicle, if you bring a trade or trades, make sure you know the payoff(s). The dealership will owe you a check IF the payoff amount(s) are LESS than what the dealership offered. NOW...you can just apply that amount to the contract and lower your total amount financed. It's up to you. But if you want the check, you have to do two things: You have to tell the dealership you want the check for the difference and do not apply it to the total owed, and you have to make sure the dealership gets the lender to approve the total amount. As an example: You owe 35,000 on a trade. The dealer offered you 38,000. You have 3,000 coming to you from the dealership in a check or you can take the 3000 and apply it to the new loan so that the new loan is lower. New vehicle is 55,000, they take 3000 off. It is always up to you as long as the lender will finance the higher amount. To be honest, I always take the check because my interest rates are always super low, even 0%, so why not take the check and do something with it. Who's gonna care if your payment is 10 bucks a month higher. People will laugh, but when I got my 2021 Charger Redeye (I ordered it), the total was 88K. I had two trades and 30K between the equity + the amount owed. My interest rate was 0%, so I took the check for 30K and financed the whole thing. Yeah, I pay 200/mo more, but I have 30 thousand dollars to do with what I want and I pay 0% interest on that 30K. Now if your interest rate is high, you probably want to lower the total borrowed as much as you can. 3) Dealers are SHYSTERS. They will try to get you to purchase all sorts of extra crap on the day you sign the papers: extended warranties, paint protection, nitrogen for the tires, gap insurance, etc, etc, etc....DO NOT DO IT. It's just a way for dealerships to add to their profit. Tell them NO. You do not want it. GEICO offers extended warranty for your new car for like $7 every 6 mo, you can get your new car ceramic coated on your own, and you do not need nitrogen for your tires!!!! If you want to avoid gap insurance, get your car insured with Grundy or American National or Hagerty for FULL value. That way, you cannot lose a dime. 4) The BUYER (that's you) is responsible to check the new car on the day of pick up for any issues, exterior and interior. The dealership will RARELY do this for you. As an example, when I picked up my Redeye on 12/23/21, after waiting 3 months, the salesman HAD checked the vehicle and when I checked it, it was PERFECT. When I picked up my TRX on 9/7/22, it had two paint imperfections and the salesman had not checked it at all. ALWAYS check the vehicle everywhere.....inside, outside, the wheels (rims), under the hood, and the trunk. Crawl under if you want. CHECK EVERYWHERE. Once you leave the dealership, it's YOUR problem if you discover any issue. Lastly, when you are signing the paperwork, check the numbers. Every number should match: total price for the new car, your trades, everything. My TRX dealership tried to add $1100 to the purchase price of the new TRX....NOPE...caught them and they had to fix it. SHYSTERS. DO NOT EVER TRUST A DEALERSHIP TO DO THE RIGHT THING, TO BE HONEST. CHECK EVERYTHING. Also, do not trust your salesman. Most likely they will act like your best friend until you take delivery and then all of a sudden, everything changes. Not all salesmen are like this but the majority are. Salesmen are not your best friend in any way. They just act like it because they want to make the money from the sale of the car. This has been since the beginning. Don't be naive. Good luck.

The dealership took care of it the week I got it. They had a dent guy come and push it out from the driver’s side rear wheel well.

Dude....my car had the exact miner dent in the same exact spot....maybe the cause is that they park the car close to others and the Minorly hit with the door

​@@gilsgarageofficial feel that. only mention it becuase from my exp exhaust doesn't make much of a diff on 392's. At least compared to other cars of its caliper. For example a 5.0 u put corsa extreme on it and the sound is a very big diff that just doing cutouts. but on a 392 corsa xtreme compared to mid muff delete really isn't that much of a difference. the only time i see a point in buying an exhaust for a 392 is if you go catless or catless plus long tubes. Just my opinion. I like loud cars so I'll always go the louder route.

@@mrdr_392 it’ll be a nice catback system. I’m in Cali so taking the cats off would just be a headache. There is some minimal HP gain but also a nice tone that isn’t raspy but deep.

You can most definitely still order widebody’s still, mine is in being shipped now and I placed my order Aug 29th. And it won’t get here until 11/28 2023 orders are now live so anything from this point forward will all be 2023

nice video. Did you get the car with factory tints or did it not have tints at all? Did you do any tints on the front windshield or did it have stock tint on it? The tints do look very nice.

Thanks! The car come with no factory tints so I had a shop do 15% on the two front windows and the back 3 are 5%. No tint on the windshield for safety reasons.
