Always helpful and interesting to read the description of these videos before watching. I am very impressed how educational they are. Squirrels are so smart. I can imagine the blood, sweat and tears for every rescue. Must be a bit exhausting too but you really do and did everything. Can't say thanks enough for that and to give us such an extraordinary insight about a lil squirrel growing up. So playful. So intelligent. So cute❤🐿️Thank you Decan. I do enjoy every second of these videos. This was very educational. I didn't know that they could eat their own limbs out of boredom, that is horrible. You can never know too much I guess, especially when it comes to rescuing, Picachu was/is very cute, thank you for sharing these video's, I love learning more about rescuing animals.

@Uschi Minall Decan, this video of rescuing sweet little Pikachu is wonderful ❤- and, in addition, very informative with all your annotations. Have you had any feedback from the family in Copenhagen who found Pikachu and brought him to you? Have they seen him at all near the spot where you released him? I can imagine the young girl would go out looking for him regularly, making sure he's got food and water and a safe place to live. It would be nice to get some information about how Pikachu is doing. Are there also lots of conifers in the neighbourhood? - as fir, pine and spruce cones are an important food source for the squirrels. Please let us know if you get any news about Pikachu.

Unfortunately not. Most people's day to day schedules, don't have spare time to spend hours looking for 1, out of hundreds of squirrels that lived there. As mentioned in the original video, which I didn't include here, the areas was teeming with life, fruit and nut trees for miles in east and south directions. Besides, they wouldn't have the experience required, to tell Pikachu apart, from the hundreds of other squirrels in that location. Already 6 to 7 days after release, he will look exactly like every other squirrel, unless you have 10 years of experience behind you. It's like the caretakers for the primates in the zoo, they know everyone, their personality, looks and their behavior. But to us, they all look the same. I guess that's the downside of becoming more famous, you get squirrels from all over, not just locally and you won't be able to follow them. But, if you did your job right as a rescuer, they won't need to be tracked. However, I do wish I would win the lottery. Then I would use all the money, to make my own rescue center, exclusively for squirrels with our own specialized vet, cars to go all over the whole country, the whole deal. And then yes, I would absolutely micro chip the rescues, so I could track them using GPS. But that's just a dream... Good question tho 👍
