Raising 3 Baby Squirrels That Got Kicked Out By Hand

The fairytale like story of saving these three little squirrels came with many ups and downs for me. Raising squirrel babies is exhausting, I was feeding them every three hours day and night for weeks and weeks and I thought that was as tough as it would get. Little did I know…
Important warning:
1. Never give cow milk to any animal…never. It is bad for them and it might even be fatal.
2. Before you think about owning a squirrel yourself… They need a very very large aviary when they grow up and actually I feel a squirrel should live in a tree - unfortunately this species is not native to my country so I'm not allowed to set them free.

I know right? As soon as I saw the thumbnail I noticed their different amazing fur colors. A black one, tan one & one white - amazing mix! Could they be any more adorable?😆 Here on Long Island I’ve only see. Gray squirrels. I’ve always been a dog lover & grew into a fervent Cat Daddy later on after falling in love with my roommate’s cat & getting 2 of my own. Ever since I was a kid I’ve always loved rabbits, squirrels & chipmunks foo. Here on Long Island in the NY suburbs we have plenty of them & tons of rabbits too. Seeing them in my backyard is relaxing. I’m so happy this little triumvirate has been nursed back to health. When I see kind & warm people helping others & pets it reinforces my unrelenting optimism & hope for humanity even though our world is so toxic, violent & backwards these days. My uncle raised an orphaned squirrel... he said it was exhausting but totally worth it to see him running around! He was eventually released into the wild, and even now, the squirrel will come up to him and climb on him!

Rarely does the caretaker get cared for, usually they get lost in their process and forget about themselves, even if it is rewarding, the consequences should never outweigh the reward. I am a Sri Lankan and I used to raise squirrels too . My humble advice to raise them healthy without sickness is to add just one drop of Natural bee honey to the food mixture. Adding too much also can be harmful. They will never get diarrhea or wet nose. Appreciate your genuine love to the animals

If only everyone had the same enthusiasm and passion for our wildlife as this guy has. Truly amazing. I raised a Jackdaw last summer which had been kicked out it’s nest. It looked like a plucked miniature quail when I picked him up and raised him till he flew off 3 months later to find his own home and make friends. He knew his name and came when called and generally landed on my head or shoulders. The day he left broke my heart 😢

What a treat to watch this video! Orange squirls are the most precious, and this one with its difficult little paw is so lucky to stay alive and be breathed on by you, Alwin. The memory of receiving a red squirl made of felt, on a little wooden branch, by my auntie Mien, is now alive again. I think I was about 10 years old, and I cherished that gift for a long time. Wish i could help, but i just had a 420 buck vet bill for a rescue i found in my yard. Lorikeet that was probably hand raised and released because he had a stroke and can no longer fly, and is quite wobbly :( How can people dump a pet like that :( So wonderful the community and YOU help these beautiful creatures. You are such an excellent squirrel Dad. You never gave up trying to save your precious babies. They are beautiful. I have never seen that pretty color fur before. They really love that wheel. I worked for an veterinarian hospital in USA. A nest fell out of a tree in a bad storm. I took a little female grey squirrel home, and raised her up. Her name was Nutsey. When she was an adult , I took her outside to the woods behind my parents house. She would come and visit with me every day. She found a male squirrel, and they left together.❤🐿

They are precious. Shira was a shock. I hadn’t seen it white squirrel before. They both have a perfect home, good company, the kindest caregiver. It’s not exactly easy. I was given a baby squirrel 30 + years ago. Getting up every 3 hours. making fresh food b4 feeding time. Working full time, up every 3 hours, I was drained. The gift is unbelievable. The babies have such a great time. I laughed so much at these 3 furbabies
