@user-zy2cu9sn3s23 күн бұрын
Not true. The coastal road will enhance productivity as it is a physical infrastructure and a public good. Two characteristic of public goods that makes it enhance productivity is that it is nonexcludable and nonrivalrous. Nonexcludable means that it is costly or impossible for one user to exclude others from using a good. Nonrivalrous means that when one person uses a good, it does not prevent others from using it. What we are questioning is the process of the contract and all the lies the government lied to Nigerians about the project. Also, we are questioning the PRIORITY of the project at this material time, given that many other federal roads are in a terrible state. Hence, the project itself is not bad. It is the process that we disagreeing with

Devaluation of the Naira is actually a good news for Nigeria.. but they don't know it. El Salvador matches the dollar 1 to 1.. it was the biggest mistake ever made by the Salvadoran government.. things became so expensive that the whole Nation turned into a criminal gang box.. Nigeria should focused on more domestic products and increase homegrown production. At the same time embark on strict price control on local commodities. . Example ... if a local trader wants to sell any unimported products, which he or she never pays custom or excise duty .. must be held accountable.. Remember.. the price for their so called profits must be included in their transportation fees for the homegrown products... Sierra Leone devalue it's currency and actually things get better.. especially on domestic products and also remittance from Diasporans.. Nigeria should now more focused on trading within African countries than the west.. for the potential is there. At times when the west tried to squeeze you dry.. its another wake up call to manipulate things to your advantage.

Devaluation is only a good policy if we can implement inport substitution, that means we will have local production. However, for an economy that is almost 100% import dependent, Devaluation is not a good policy. The interconnection between every sector of the economy makes it impossible to enforce price control over locally produced goods, it should be noted that in producing locally, the inputs are mostly imported. Even a local farmer producing garri, will need to buy cutlass that is imported, will need to buy fertiliser that is imported and so on. Finally, in a market economy, price control is not enforced. Market forces of demand and supply brings about price discovery

Tbh, the oil theft is as result of the government having its hands in the means of production of oil. I might not be a fan of Atiku but to be honest Atiku was right.
