Tinubu outperformed every governor in his era by a wide margin. The blueprint for development which he introduced in Lagos in 1999 when he was governor is responsible for the massive developments of the last 24 years or so in Lagos. Look at the election this way. Peter Obi won east. Tinubu won west. In the battle for the north, Peter Obi won only 2 out of 19 states. Nasarawa and Benue. Tinubu got the required 25% in all 19 northern states. He won the election by a wide margin.

Look at the election from this angle. There are 36 states in Nigeria, 19 in the north, and 17 in the south. (51%/49%) Tinubu got the required 25% in all the 19 northern states, which equals 51% of the votes. Add the 22% from south west, and 3% from Rivers state, which gives Tinubu about 75% of the votes. He won the election clearly. All the noise of rigging is just noise from petty people too arrogant to admit that they lost the election
