Tiny Creek Full Of Fish!!

First time up this little creek for me and I’ll tell you what it didn’t disappoint! This is one of the reasons I love fishing the Mackay area this time of year, plenty of variety and the fish just bite their heads off. The water was surprisingly clean considering the big tides and it’s not often you get to sight cast barra in the salt but this was just one of those days where it all comes together.
Unfortunately had to cut this one short just when we found the bulk of the fish because my GoPro chest cam decided it didn’t want to work anymore…

Sight casting at its best! Looked like prop wash after it inhaled! All worth it getting stuck on a sandbank after a day like that!!

Yeah for sure!! I even missed out on putting some good stuff in where we were sight casting threadfin off a snag 🤦🏼‍♂️ it was a good day!!

@@Micksgonefishing oh well mate,throw it in the next one. You live in an incredible part of the world that’s for sure mate, estuaries and little creeks like that hold everything I like chasing. With Black Bass being the exception! Hanging to get up Tinaroo next year for a few weeks, might drop the boat in around your way on the way up or back for a bit of fun. You using forward mode with the Livescope on those snags, works awesome on things like that you can almost throw a lure in their mouth!

Is the motor beeping? I’m wondering if that beep will transfer down the drive shaft and into the water…? Or is the hand control beeping (which is my guess, hope the engineers would pick thst up)

The motor beeps at the head which is a higher pitch than the fish would generally pick up so it doesn’t seem to spook the fish 👌🏻

I keep the barbs on mate, but in saying that they’re tiny barbs on the BKK trebles!
