Excuse me, your song attacked me... in a really good way. I'm a little over a year sober. Drinking almost killed me. I got lucky and it's only minor damage, but I cheated death. Getting a second chance changes a persons perspective on life. Listening to your song the first time hit me, same with the second, and third and so on... But this morning it made me realise that I had been in denial about how bad it was for most of my teens and early 20's (I'm 35 now). ADHD, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, combined with a sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll life style... Always fighting to stay afloat. My partner of nearly 8 years now wasn't sure if she'd ever get me to believe in a future. Because of your song and my new perspective, I can start to, in some way, heal another part of me that has been locked away for so long. Thank you.
