Tiny home mini cabin build series part 3

This series will show building a tiny home mini cabin. Not necessarily a How to build a tiny house video series, more of a documentary on how I built mine. The beauty of building a DIY cabin is you can do it how ever you want especially when building on a movable trailer, and it’s not a permanent structure. Build, have fun, experiment, try different materials, make a cool structure and don’t over complicate things.

It would be nice to have one of those sponsors for a battery pack instead of the generator, hopefully sometime you get the email! Really nice to see this project and love your work man keep it up

Thanks man! I actually had a company reach out to me about 4 months ago with a battery back up unit that would have been really nice for this cabin. I was planning on using it for the build and to power the finished cabin. The problem was they kept being really pushy about how many minutes they wanted me to talk about there product, I went back and forth about it over many emails. I wanted to show the product being used, talk about it briefly but not force the product to viewers, they wanted about 4 or 5 minutes of my videos to be about there product. At that point I had enough for there 💩 and said forget it, I’m not making a commercial for you, my subscribers won’t like that and nor will I. So here we are using a generator and I probably will be buying some deep cycle batteries to power the cabin. 😂 I have turned down many things from many companies because of this exact situation time and time again. Thanks for watching 😊👍

Would be so bad if they give it to you to use and you report on how well it works or not, then show how it works, hopefully someone comes aboard, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones

The fact that you build a really nice looking end product with what in the construction industry would be considered junk siding is a testament to your true skill. Been following you for more than a while but must admit I haven’t been commenting. And know how the tube is I’ll just apologize now. For all the entertainment you offer and all the knowledge you drop I guess the least we as your viewers could do is show a little appreciation.

Easily one of my all time favorite YT-channels. The tone of your videos really vibes with me. I love the sort of low tempo style. It's super nice with proper music as well, I watch a few different maker channel, and the free music gets boring rather quickly. The mini pinzie-series was the one that brought me here, but I've since seen more or less everything. It's nice with a bit of variation in the content, in my opinion - so from my side I hope you keep doing what you're doing, I enjoy the fabricating just as much as the Kei camping series.

Thank you! On all the cabins I have built over the years I usually build big eaves 24” or 16” to keep the Northwest rain off, but this place I had to make the eaves really short to legally get it down the road, so I figured mine as well give it the best chance at not leaking 😂 Thanks for watching!

This is the content I like. I’m not learning anything I don’t already know, but I’m watching someone do the same things I do. 20 years ago when I was a kid, my roommates would call something like this “work tv” “you get off work and watch people work”. Nah, my hobby is my work, and my work is my hobby

I love cross-tool battery adapters. The batteries are always the weakest link, IMO, unless you use them daily. Having fewer batteries, that you use more, gets longer life out of the ones you have. LiIon batteries don't like sitting idle. Beautiful work, as per your usual standards. Gonna be a nice cabin.

That cabin is looking real good. I think it is great that you are able to mill your own siding and trim wood. That sawmill is outstanding.

This is a really fantastic cabin. I am really enjoying this build. I think it would make a great portable hunting cabin.

Cabin is looking great. Love working with cedar it smells great though hard on tools. I would have used t n g boards but that takes time to machine. Nice work.

The live edge cedar turned out great. I’ve been wanting a sawmill and every time I watch your videos I spend money. Last time I bought a plasma table.

Enjoyed this series so far, Mike. It's different from the other content and I'm a fan of variety. Been looking into your welding videos as of late and intrigued enough to maybe head down to Harbor Freight and begin the journey of learning how to weld. Lastly, just wanted to say that I picked up a Subaru Sambar recently. Would love if you and Andy did a series of DIY step-by-step of the camper build, even a revised, "this is what we would do now" version. I've seen a lot of camper builds on YT but yours is the one I want to replicate. Have you both considered sharing your camper build with the Kei truck world? I'm sure a lot of Kei owners on here would be honored to have your design in their truck bed. Give it some thought! Please? :) Love the channel and all the education. Thank you sir!

I’ve always imagined making something similar and backing it into a raised paver or split block U-Shaped patio. Similar to sliding an appliance into an opening. Have QD utilities. Always thought that would be a good way to avoid more stringent building codes.
