You go girl!!! I’ve had a few of those proud tiny house moments along my journey too. I have that same elbow on my water intake. 😀 Remember I got a new heated hose not too long ago? Well, I paid a bit extra to get pigtails on either end of the hose. Essentially, they’re just 12” of additional heat tape that can be wrapped around the non-hose parts, like the fancy elbow. I think those pigtails are the bomb!! I also have an extra long spigot cover that I modified for my purposes. I cut a small hole in the base so that I can feed the hose through the hole and then I tighten the end around the intake where the extra heat pigtail is to keep us safe-ish from the elements. 🎉 I was proud of that tiny house hack!

I am curious why/how your water heater broke at only 2-3 years old? (I think approx. that old?)

It was 100% user error!🤦♀I knew my propane was running low, but I was in a hurry to leave the house for 10 days to cat-sit for a friend. My thinking was that I would change the propane when I got home, because it wasn't like I was going to be cooking for awhile. I completely forgot that my water heater is also propane, and relies on the propane to run a cycle every so often to keep it from freezing on the inside. When the propane ran out, it couldn't run the cycle and cracked.😬
