love the radiuses on the framing. elegant detail and brilliant to incorporate a drip edge on the roof ... clearly very well thought out project

Looks great! Quite a lot of progress so far. It’s a bit of a race before the cold weather sets in, but it looks like you’re close to having a protected and insulated space to continue working from.

Hey looking good! I like the windows you chose. Looks a little like the GT27 we're building, but with a shorter bow section and less camber in the roof. How long is she overall?
@ourtinyhouseboat4 жыл бұрын
thanks for your comment. overall length is 30 feet, trailer is 32 feet

given the amount of epoxy and fiberglass you're using, these must be much more affordable than what I can get in Ontario.

@@ourtinyhouseboat Nice! It looks smaller in the video, but I figured it was in that ballpark. Great size! Any idea what the final weight will be?
@ourtinyhouseboat4 жыл бұрын
@@LiveDontWatch I think it may end up between 3,000 to 4,000 lbs. Questions for you - how are you going to configure the steering system and how many engines and hp?

@@ourtinyhouseboat I'm probably going to put a wheel at the front of the cabin, with hydraulic lines running aft. We're not trying to get up on a plane, and designer says 25hp will push her at max displacement speed. I'm leaning toward a 40hp just to have a bigger prop with better bite, plus plenty of reserve thrust. I imagine the high sides will catch a lot of wind, so I want to have some extra thrust to help muscle the bow through a headwind, etc. How about yours? What size engine?

How are you going to drain water off the front and rear decks
@ourtinyhouseboat2 жыл бұрын
both the front and rear decks have cockpit drains on the port and starboard sides.
