Floor looks much better! I understand your frustration with the floor being dirty! I had similar color in the laundry room and it always looked dirty after someone walked in there in their outdoor shoes right after I cleaned it so I put new flooring dark gray…. So I have a pretty new car 🚗 and I have never taken it to a car wash, I wash it/vacuum it at home or take it to a car detailing place and that is pretty common where I live… We do have a car wash but not used much and during winter it’s closed due to weather.

About the water heater in the closet. Have you thought about ripping that out and replacing it with 2 (on demand) tankless water heaters? (Pref. gas, but electric should suffice in that size mat.) That would take a lot of stuff outta that room and make space.

All of your machines should be bolted down to the floor to prevent someone from stealing them and to prevent them from destroying your floor
