Here in India, we need to save more sparrows like this...I remember as a child sparrows used to be everywhere in cities and suddenly they disappeared and its seems they are making a slow comeback. Thanks for helping this amazing bird. I also feed few sparrows that come in my garden.

Not just in India. Here in the Netherlands I remember sparrows being everywhere when I was a kid, and at some point years ago they were almost gone. It was a real worry and even reported in the news. Luckily it seems also here they are slowly making a comeback.

I raised a baby Robin that I found on the hood of my car, after a storm. Couldn't locate nest or professional assistance. Raised it into an adult, trained it to be independent and took it outside for little training adventures. One day, after several days of training outside it was ready and flew away. I'd like to think I gave it the skills necessary and that it lived a happy little birdy life. Every time I see a Robin close by; I think of that little critter😍

Woww... I am too living in Delhi in a rented apartment along with my sister and a dog. A sparrow has created her nest inside the window of my flat and so she has given birth to 4 babies in a span of 2 years. We were planning to shift to some other location but only because of those birds we are not Shifting. The person who will be coming after us might harm their nest or babies. The cutest part is , the window is right near to bed and in the morning 6 am the mother and baby wakes me up by their chi chi sound :) . Hats off to you maam.

i got many sparrows living nearby. As normal help we usually give birds food in one corner of the park so all birds come there in the morning and evening and in the same spot they start eating food . It is now like a daily routine. These birds help in removing insects and many other harmful insects from our surroundings.. Everyone can try feeding birds living in their locality so they can also help us. The proper population of these birds is required by nature for balancing many things

It's so fascinating how emotional reaction can affect you physically too. It's very evident in animals and birds but we humans used to hide this for so long and not take mental health seriously but i am glad there's a change in society and muffin is such a sweet heart I've never had a pet but i always wanted one hopefully in future I'll get to rescue any good soul.

Very amusing... we adopted a stray Parrot.. who is always free in the house... well fed. Keeps following his mom. He has a mood swing issues, his bites at times lead to bleeding. Then few years later we rescued another Parrot.. from the road.. cats keep prowling the area.. hence we kept him too. Thus for a human family of three we bought a 7 seater only to travel comfortably with 2 parrots and a German shepherd.. our dog never attacked the birds... infact they have a beautiful bond....the dog has to be around the birds.. else they keep yelling till she sits in front of them.

I also have a female house sparrow pet rescued as a fledgeling. Some advice. NEVER let her on your shoulders unless you are wearing glasses. She can randomly poke your eyeball with her beak without warning. Or at least cup your eyes with your hand if she gets close. It's hardwired into her brain to perceive human gaze as predatory. My bird poked my eye after riding my shoulder daily for a year. It can happen at random. I recovered but I was lucky. Protect your eyes always. Also, she will NEVER survive alone outside. All her survival instincts are gone & she is forever bonded to you. Much love from me to you. I know you love your sparrow as much as I love my Tweetybird.

I just rescued a little one. And its eyes were not opened yet. I raised it for more than one and half month until it can fly. I need to travel out there f town so I released it. I hope it will come back to me. But after three days. He is no longer coming to visit! I miss it so much! 😢
