Living in Australia, I just have an in-built fear of any form of insect or bug or arachnid. Growing up with cockroaches that fly in your face or running into huntsmen spiders (no matter how safe they are) is just trauma fuel for childhood. That's just the safe ones. Please send help.

I had an encounter with an unsquishable spider once. Hanging out with people and this big ass 3 inch spider decides it wants to bum rush the couch and scare the shit out of everyone. tried stomping it, lifted my food, did fucking nothing, stomped it again, it kept running, did rapid near simultaneous heel stomps, still fucking nothing, eventually it ran under a side table and we had to accept the fact some of us weren't gonna make it outta that house alive, it's a miracle that spider didn't just murder everyone like I hurt my leg stomping it so hard AND with flat shoes, it's been nearly 20 years and I still fear that spiders is somewhere, watching me, it's planning it's vengence
