This would be a good way to strengthen regular (non wet strength) tissue paper! I’ve been printing botanicals on gold and green tissue papers. Doable, but very fragile to pull off the plate.

I did this using tissue and medical exam paper. Both gave greater transparency, making them excellent collage fodder. Particularly useful for picking up transfer images with lots of delicate detail. Very little detail lost and the intensity of the image remains.

Not sure the point of putting the medium on the top of the paper? Yes on top of the ghost to pick up the ghost print. Was it to make it more transparent?

I use Nova Matte Medium. Have you tried that?

If you use gloss medium, the paper goes completely transparent!

Yes, I found gloss medium made my tissue and MEP nearly dissolve.

The layer of medium on top of the paper isn't necessary ( unless using regular tissue, I suppose).
