Haven't been keeping up with the whoop scene as closely as I used to, but this looks nice. It's interesting of them to include the carbon frame, but I'd rather save a few bucks. I want ducts for flying inside, and at minimum 75mm for flying outside. Mobula6 canopy has been holding in there for me, and I prefer the protection that these shell-like canopies provide over the TPU prints (RIP cameras). Good to see you doing some acro with the whoop; it's a much more fun experience even if auto-level does have advantages when it comes to serious racing.

It does. There’s three holes in the back part of the TPU to choose different camera angles.

Thanks for the spotlight Jon 😅 I told you that previous mobula 6 ELRS on 26000kv 0702 was a turd... Don't hesitate to check my channel, I shared a PID tune for this one that fly a lot better in my and others opinion 😉

you were right! (Although to be fair, the mob 6 was my fav whoop bnf before this). You recognized the greater potential to be unlocked. Does the mobeetle meet your standards?

@@JonE5FPV Nope it didn't meet my standard: -I wish they made a molded canopy rather than using my worst design without telling it. -I wish the make the motor with lower KV, no PCB on motor base and no unibell since my experience prove me that brass bushing will wear out faster and it doesn't prevent magnet from slidding (ask Nick burns). -I wish they finally ditch that C-clips on top of the bell. -I wish they made it sub 16g (totaly doable) -I wish they don't add that useless carbon frame and sell it cheaper... 150€ for a HM BNF... NO THANKS !!! -I wish we have a new UL analog cam rather than that nano 3 that keep getting worst each year. -I wish they made the FC with no RX since EP2 are only 0.5g and ELRS SPI is a pain in the a*s to update and too much power asking for F4. -I wish the VTX ground pad worked... (don't waste your time at soldering dipole or CP antenna, it make absolutely no change) -I wish the VTX power aren't random (on 3 FC 2 are noticeably worst than the other) -I wish HM stop using used components. -I wish they stop being cheap and replace the DOA FC rather than asking people to pay for shipping them back. -I wish they made a new 65 frame after 4 years using this one with awfull duct design. -I wish they shipped it with 250mAh LiPo. Yes, as Joshua said I'm too picky but we don't improve by licking a*s !!! Keep the good work Jon !👊

Based on my experience I'd like to add the following. Fight time around 4 minutes is excellent. Durability... excellent Tune... excellent 400mw vtx..... hell yes! Range.... wow Fixed camera angle unfortunately makes this very difficult to fly in angle mode in small homes. Reason..... makes it very Jumpy, bouncy when giving it throttle. I enjoy acro even with the crash recovery set up. However many of us still prefer angle mode. So in this case I'd suggest the mob 6 instead

The canopy has 3 slots to set the angle, also can lower it by cutting the tpu a bit

According to Ciotti FPV the diamond board is really fragil. So dont use it!

If I remember well there are two version of this Frysky and ELRS. The question is will there be any difference in the range of this tiny whoop if normally what is the bottle neck is the VTX range?

yes, the cc2500 chip doesn't go as far as the vtx, the elrs version is worth it

Hello Jon E5 I recently bought the mobeetle6 watching your video I found it very interesting but I have a problem with the video that I see in black and white with my glasses it only happens to me with the mobeetle6 with the other drones I can see well but the videos are recorded in color...it's crazy. Any suggestions....

Hmmm could be need to change settings from ntsc to pal (or vice Versa ) in betaflight. Try that. But normally could just be a bad camera if that doesn’t work.

I love mine but the shells can't fit on the carbon frame because the camera wire gets in the way of the screw hole IDK if they redesigned the board halfway through or something because I've seen pictures where the uart tx/rx pads have labels and on my fc they aren't labeled.

I am also thinking of getting one. How is the VTX and what is the range. I just want to fly across the house and through it. Will that vtx be good enough. I will use ELRS for my radio only worried about the VTX range.

Well... Let's go: 1 - the antenna is too big, so to be TBS Tracer would be a better option. 2 - TBS's stuff is proprietary, not open source. So no one can make receivers compatible with their systems. 3 - TBS doesn't make those little boards either...

@@bugsy742 Sure, it's 2.4Ghz. The issue is to find a board with a Tracer receiver onboard. And ELRS isn't compatible, unfortunately.
