Awesome build. This would be a great project to do with my son. He has the 2in1 air hogs drone/hovercraft. We would be able to race around our house

build really light, dollar store foam board platform, 7mm closed cell packaging foam cut 3/4" wide to wrap the bumper/skirt, 2" longer than typical just might buzz along pretty good in powdery duff, may also float and capable on water.

+Crash N Burn Racing so glad to see people improvising these together!! last summer I'd e-mailed eachine and furibee both, suggesting a quick re-programming of these boards for lift throttle left stick, forward/reverse/left/right on the right stick.... I guess they oval filed it, and I never guessed swapping rear motors left/right would WORK as well as it does (can't take credit for that part and sure ain't trying to!). if the boards were re-programmed it'd sure help to balance these out, in hover they should drift slowly backwards and straight, more air escaping out the front, because when it's flying forward the still air will knock air cushion back/aside. a very slight rear skirt drag (or nearly) at speed, helps act as keel to run a straight line easier. my larger model H/C: scratch build from coroplast, pool noodle, 2212 2700kv 5" 6 blade prop, ducted to provide lift, steering vanes etc... might have cost 23 bucks total and about 11x20" size... success! unless there's wind blowing it around out of control, it's fun. the "rounded star" shape pool noodle, cut so a point is downward, one is outward (like a molded in bumper), slitting sideways into the top of the center hole of the noodle, gives about 1-3/8" height to the platform for making the C duct for 40% of the air to cushion. 6 blade 3p prop giving the best static pressure+CFM for 2 blades always actively shoving air in (less blowback). protects it, effective, cheap, easy to replace too. single thickness coroplast platform flexes just enough for the perimeter of the pool noodle to flop flat when loaded/balanced (battery pack position). fan shroud also coroplast, easy with hobby knife, CA, imagination. no content uploaded yet but should be tiny image in my banner anyway.
