I'm going to give you a bit of info as an ex firefighter. Always keep smoke detectors up high and carbon very low. Smoke rises and gases settle on the floor. I really love your home. It is absolutely amazing.
@dedepyle70463 жыл бұрын
Yes, always put your carbon detectors low. The carbon is very heavy and sits on the floor. As it fills and rises and if your detector is high, by the time the carbon is detected...you're probably going to be unconscious or dead. I can never stress enough how important it is for the carbon detectors are to be low on the floor. Carbon monoxide is odorless and therefore is a silent killer. I hope I did not scare you, but this is so important to me. I had 2 longtime childhood friends that passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning. The two girls, one my age and one 4 years younger are gone and the mother had severe brain trauma that never recovered from the carbon monoxide. I hope this helps you. Keep on trucking on my friend.

Plus it means that, so long as it's latched open, and there's clearance in the back, she can still use the rear-view mirror! I haven't actually finished the video yet though. I stopped to compliment her on her great use of storage for her clothes over the cabin area!

I love the van, lovely soft colour scheme. I particularly love all the plants. I lived solo on the road for 7 years, eventually stopped because I wanted a garden. Here in Australia it's not possible to travel with plants unless you confine yourself to certain areas. Some state borders have strict plant quarantine control which can't be passed with fruit vegetables honey flowers and plants.
@pampire132 жыл бұрын
There's some measure of plant restriction in the US. It's largely regional. I live in WA, where apples are a big cash crop. There are road signs announcing a quarantine of any plant that could harbor apple maggots. In Las Vegas, it's illegal to plant olive trees. They were planted in huge #s during the housing booked they've had. They aren't native and the amount of pollen they release is astounding. It can cause a traffic hazard. I'm sure there are more.

I didn't even consider this - been looking into van/rv living. so you couldn't keep fruit and veg in the fridge going from Vic to NSW/Qld? 😮
@nomadgigi40512 жыл бұрын
@@RubyRage Into Qld is not a problem, SA and WA have very strict rules and you'll get checked, WA doesn't allow honey or fruit, vegs, plants flowers or even boxes that stuff has been in. Then there's the fruit fly exclusion zone which covers parts of NSW, SA, VIC you'll find it on maps. I used to get rid of stuff before entering Broken Hill then stay there a week and again use up everything to go into SA. You can bring it into SA if it's cooked, I once turned all my salad veges into a cooked curry to save them. Check the rules or you'll get fined. Problem I found heading West on the Nullarbor was you had to use up all fresh stuff to cross the border check point into WA and then it was 700km to the next small shop. I always took min 10 days to cross it so had to plan well in advance with tinned and dry stuff. Also empty your bin, everything gets checked. Don't let this put you of it's easy to deal with, I loved living on the road for 7 years.

We all really need to band together so it isn't criminalized. Van people aren't normally criminals, trouble makers or drug addicts. It's going to be a big deal very soon for many with high inflation and not being able to afford to live anywhere. If you don't have full cash, you'll be screwed. I really want to see solutions for WORKING POOR. Not just generations of lazy. If you go to school/trade school, that's different. You shouldn't get free money to choose to be lazy and stupid deliberately, tho. I'm tired of Americans being thought of as fat and stupid. Blejeans, she does mention a dog...named Ranger
@blujeans94622 жыл бұрын
@@tameraanderson2773 Exactly my question - yes, she has a dog...my question was not how do you travel without a dog, but rather how do you keep the van cool when you leave the van without the dog (go out to dinner, friends etc) - since she did not mention having an a/c on it's own power. I've seen many full-timers with dogs - but they never mention how they keep their rig cool when they are away without their dogs. I've thought about going full-time in the past, but could never do it without a dog...so I wonder how full-timers handle that scenario?

This is the best van I have ever seen on KZbin. I to have watched a lot of them Brenda because I have wanted to do this myself. I love the copper, ceramic tiles & plants it gives it a look of Italy. I am a collector of antiques, and that little shelving space above your bed would give me an area to bring a few of my Antiques into a van whenever I decide to do the van life. That way I wouldn’t feel like I had to be without something from my antique life from before.

Yes, but don't forget how much it costs to change a van in this kind of camper. She had the luck her dad works with cars and is very handy. Nevertheless, a very classy and beautiful van✌😀

@@jgappy5643 you can make van life affordable! No, it won’t look like this one but as long as you’re willing to learn how to repair things on your own you can make it work if you really want it. Many people love their vans that aren’t as “fancy” as this one

@4Freedom4All these are very good points, but also some camp grounds are free, solar reliability depends on where you are, if you have good ventilation the smell wouldn't linger long when cooking, most van/bus lifers go to laundromat, also most van/bus lifers have heaters for winter but nothing close to a house heater. But again all of my points depend on if the van has the appliances, and where they stay.

She has the best Kitchen Layout that I have seen so far!!! I'd personally have a pop-out shower on the floor of the entrance and have a U-shaped lounge at the back of the van to make it more spacious and turn it into a bed at night. Her entrance has so much space that you could have another single pullout bed!! Again, Love the kitchen layout inspirational !!! Thank you

Wow! I can’t believe only just seeing this tiny home on wheels. I’m absolutely in love 🥰 with it, the build, the decor it is my taste exactly & I love how different it is to other builds I much prefer the layout of this one, it makes the bedroom look like a bedroom if you know what I mean, it just makes it look more cosy & with the cab area being separated with that door is really nice! Well done I say….
