What a beautiful home and production. I will always appreciate a person who can wear odd socks with confidence. I feel that this tiny house movement is going to gain some serious attraction moving forward in the future for so many people due to affordability issues and I'm one of them. It represents so many things that allow people to live in a more relaxed, efficient and authentic way amongst other things.

Hi Tyler lovely to meet you and Niles. Wow you live in a beautiful spot in the world. The bright green of those trees against the colour of your home looks stunning. I love how you have your home set out, its your home and you have to do what is right for you. Yes get that deck built and put aa roof over it and you can follow your creative pursuits out there or just read a book. You could even build yourself an outdoor cat enclosure for Niles a few shelves or boards to walk on and some shade cloth or netting of some kind and he's set. Sweetheart you don't need to apologise or "try to explain to others" about your home or lifestyle. They can either accept you as you are or are they really worth knowing in the first place. I think the Covid episode was a scary time for many people across the world, except me and my hubby. As we like to keep to ourselves anyway and live in a beautiful area of Western Australia we were happy to just stay home and not have to mingle with anyone ha ha.. nothing really changed for us except there weren't any other people around...perfect!!. This has been the perfect time for you to realise some of your dreams maybe. To be able to give other aspects of living a go. This is a great channel to learn how others 'do it' also 'Living Big in a Tiny House' is another great channel. I wish you well with your new life. Looks like you have great neighbours and you are so lucky to have a tiny house community in which to live. Its not something which is very common in Australia yet although I gather some parts of Queensland (up north on the east coast of Oz) and New Zealand are both gathering a lot of interest and support for the tiny house movement. Some things I would change decor wise, but it is a nice cozy place and just a perfect size for one person; also has the benefit of not needing to climb a loft. Her cat is beautiful by the way. The scenery is lovely and peacful.

Again, I love how you presented this house and it's owner. Cozy little home, To me , the shelf on one side with her books, artwork and dishes gives a camper feel, it is quite nice.It leaves space for the light to come from the windows , it opens up the space. Since she bought the home as is, it show us the tiny home can be sold and enjoyed again.I would have liked to know the water, power and heating situation.And budget per month. I think I saw an electric heater in the bathroom. Thanks for talking about the toilet. She is in a park and it looks like she has hookups.

Not sure it could have been done or not...but the Cook Top, I think had it been turned and placed end to end from the Sink to the Fridge and pulled out closer to the edge of the counter..it would have given more counter space * in the back *. Also if and when you had to use both eyes, you wouldn't have to reach over the front eye to get to what's on the back eye. Love all the Window, they really open up the space, making it appear much larger than it is, and giving amazing natural lighting. All I can say is YOU Did Good :).

Where do you get your electricity and water? How do you prevent pipes freezing in the winter?

She has electric, water & sewer hookups at her parking spot in the new Cranmore Meadows tiny home community. Tyler shared with us that she used a potable heated hose in the winter and believe her tankless water heater is electric. Her home is also well insulated. Not sure if she insulated the water spigot but that is always a good idea.

I like her Escape House. It is cozy & warm. Love the upper shelf on the kitchen side of the house. I have seen these houses by Escape for a while, and now they came out with E-versions of the Vista, and Extra-long E-Vista, E for all electric, and they are building those on top of the wheelbase so the whole floor is even. I do like that Futon Couch, and it has two big drawers under it, and the bed has another drawer under it. I like the look of the original, but like the All Electric, take the original build it on top of the wheelbase and make it all electric. Some of their models have a larger bathroom with a bigger vanity and a shower / tub combo, and even a regular toilet. Oh, and you can have a combo washer/dryer, I would go with that, and maybe either go with the bed or the futon, and have more room and a longer counter space, or a pantry. I think I would go with a futon, and a pillow top and leave it in bed mode unless I have plans for company. I would like a 24-inch wall oven and and a drawer underneath for cookware and cabinet above for small appliances or pantry. They do work with you for changes, and even do customized houses. I love the flip up tables, part of it is stationery, and the built-in drawers by the door, with the window and built-in blinds. They do think of a lot of things. I like the Traveler also, but just want one loft. Also love the cover over the door.

I lovedlovedloved this episode! Tyler nailed it on so many levels...about life, living, just simply *being* and doing what feels right for oneself.. "Selfish" at its root, is simply defined as being concerned with one's welfare, to be "self-ish" That is not at all a bad thing, and I would like to think in this example, I "get" what Tyler was saying. To thine own self be true. I sense a strong BlueQ affinity there in Tyler's house; (the socks were a clue) and I especially relate to the awesomely bawdy towel that got shown several times, (heh heh heh), "F*ck I love cheese" So do I! :-D Just really loved this house, and Tyler...and love to Niles as well, lucky kitty!
