We used to use ice & salt to clean our brown stained restaurant coffee pots every morning. Much healthier & no toxic dawn detergent poisons.

we did that ice salt thing...but also added lemon slices overnight..learned it from old skewl Black Forest Full German woman 1990ish...

there's actually a very effective way to make coffee pots look brand new but available only for restaurant. Use the sanitizer granulars. They will lift all of the stains right up when the pot is heated.

That's a great idea! Mine were starting to get bad enough that I thought about just replacing them. I had to do it a few more times than you showed, but it (eventually) worked great. Thanks.

I was a bit skeptical because there were some tenacious mold spots in my bottles, but this method worked well for me!

You can use some water a little dish soap and a little white vinegar. Add some ice cubes for scrubbing and agitate and roll those ice cubes around and around then dump and rinse.

Nice trick but where do you get the white caps for your bottle?

Do the sponges easily come out like his did? I’m worried mine will get stuck 😂

@@JudyAjifu If they go in easily, they will come out easily. Make sure they are bigger then the opening

When you buy the 5 gallon jug initially, do you wash it bwfoee the first fill or just fill it with water aince its new?
@markmalone70912 ай бұрын
wash it-even the new ones as machines leave microscopic residue while molding the container and also ive rinsed out small pieces of plastic from the manufacturing process of the jug----wash it with baking powder or dawn soap and rinse- if these are long storage- you can treat the tap water by boiling or use water purification tabs ---i wash out and rinse and inspect for any mold or residue-after a few months there will be some bacteria and i switch all the water out at least once a year so no buildup of mold has time to leech in your h2 0

I was going to try this but i noticed the sponges scratch up the jug (which potentially could put plastic in your water) so i just went with water and vinegar

that would waste good food. :) Another video, the lady used corn and vinegar.

@@SoulSeeker770 I saw that one too. Like the corn and vinegar in stead of soap.

How many years until we should replace them?
@markmalone70912 ай бұрын
if you get the heavy duty military spec ones, I've had a couple 10 years or more-as long as you clean them out at least one a year, i havent had any issues
