Will it not scracth the windshield as wiper is running w/o water on glass ?

If rubber is good, nothing is stuck under wiper blades then it will not scratch. Rubber is soft ant not capable to scratch glass.

Thanks for bringing up that point, if you feel that dry run wiper blades will scratch glass, then someone can keep spraying water on windshield with spray bottle.
