Will give it a go as soon as I can restore a use-able start menu, seeing it here is enough to sate the interest

LOL at most of the comments who think its a general tip for anyone - its a tip for people who want to do it, not jut anyone out there. Reading comprehension sucks, but that was always true, but the internet makes all ignorance easy to see for anyone.

Don't do it. I tried this on my Surface Book 3, and the upgrade failed, going to a blue screen asking me to "Rollback". But clicking on "Rollback" only brought me to the same "Rollback" screen. After multiple attempts, I was presented with about 6 recovery options, but nothing worked. I tried multiple times a USB reinstall/ repair reinstall of Windows 11 23H2. I made it each time to the setup screen, but the screen each time froze. Finally, I had to call an IT Windows tech - who after 2 and 1/2 hours was able in a very complex way to recover data in my Downloads folder I had failed to backup, and to do a clean reinstall of Windows 11 23H2. This was a most stressful experience. What I have learned from this is NEVER to install Microsoft software unless it comes in through Windows Update.

I've had nothing but success with this across over a dozen PCs.

The click bait title makescit sound like everyone should do this. Most people should wait until it arrives naturally. Expected more from you all. You should warn people upfront in b the video only do this if you understand what you are doing and have a reason to get it now.

Because I listen to Windows Weekly, I'm still on Windows 10. I installed 11 on a pc I am selling and, um, yikes.

Well, I've upgraded to keep the security updates and had some improvement in gaming performance and stability without changing drivers, I'm yet to test in productivity though. Took me a while to "give in" too though.
