Buttie Sugrue ran the pub where he was buried. They did a roaring trade during the burial period. I was brought there by my parents - there was a festival atmosphere. You could talk to him down a tube.

I saw him as well at the age of 7, I spoke to him down the tube, my mother is from tipp town, I believe the pub was the Earl of derby, probably long gone, down the road from the falcon pub , near Queen’s Park .
