I like the Kiwami 4 that you using, do you think the Kobalt 27 gallons with 4.5 CFM compressor can handle this gun? If not! what is the most quality gun under $300 that you recommend for my compressor. Thank you.
@GarageNoise2 жыл бұрын
Even tho the kiwami uses less air than most guns it will still require more air than your compressor will continually put out. It will work but will fluctuate badley. The gun I would recommend is the r500 it only requires 3.5 cfm's to operate and it performs relly well and is around 60.00 here's a video I did on the gun and links to the gun in the description. Appreciate the support! kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKfHlKCuf7enqa8

@@GarageNoise Thank you so much on the recommendation, I just cancel the order of Kiwami 4 from Japan, it’s a nice quality gun, made in Japan, but not for me, I though I can combine 2 of 27 gallons compressor for $600, and extra 25 gallons old tank only that totals of 79 gallons storage that can handle the Kiwami 4 , to get away buying a big 80 gallons compressor for $1,200 that too noise to disturb my neighbor , I am going get the one that you recommend to try it out. Your clear coat look awesome , wish I will get the same, have a safe and happy holiday . Trung Le 🇱🇷🎉💥😀

This looks to be an infinity any chance it’s QAA moonlight white? I just got one to flip and I might be in over my head but I’m gonna attempt to paint the bumper and driverside fender I know tri coats are more work and require extra attention to detail is there any tips you have for a smoother process?

Don't be scared.It's basically just an extra step, they're really not that difficult. I have some detailed videos on my channel about spraying pearl white.Check those out

Superb Professional job. Great. I needed your help dear. I am getting 8 panels of my honda civic painted due to an accident. Roof, front hood, trunk lid, one door panel, two quarter panels, amd two pillars. I got the job fone at a workshop in my locality, but the colour match was not perfect amd they are planning to repaint it. My car's colour is Platinum white pearl NH 883 P. Its a 2 yrs old car but almost in new condition as i hardly drove it for 3k miles. I need your help about the following please... 1. How much quantity of paint ( base, pearl and clear coat) would be needed for the 8 panels i mentioned. Pl guide me about the exact quantity of each component i.e. base, pearl and clear. 2. How many coats of each component needs to be done for that perfect finish and durability 3. I noticed that the pearl effect is not at par with company finish after the job done by the workshop. Could you please guide me as to how many coats are needed to be done and what quantity needs to be applied for each individial panels. Your help and advise would be greatly appreciated. I am anxious about the job. 🙁

So 2 questions...when you go to the paint shop and they give u 3 shades to pick threw ..is that the color of the base or the pearl mid coat? And also when they give me the paint does the mid coat already come mixed with the pearl. How much will I need for the average size bumper?
@GarageNoise29 күн бұрын
The variance chips are of the final color base and midcoat. Midcoat for a bumper I can usually get away with half a pint.

Hi there. I’m looking at painting my motorcycle. I have a 44 gallon compressor and was wondering what spray gun you would recommend for base and clear coat. I will be painting it in my garage. Thank you and your videos are awesome btw!
@GarageNoise2 жыл бұрын
Your compressor probably produces about 13 cfm's . That's a little low for a paint gun although it will work for small projects like a motorcycle or a couple panel on a car. You could probably use the Iwata kiwami 4 which is a fantastic gun and a bargain. If you concerned about having enough air the r500 is a budget gun that sprays great and only requires 3.5 cfm's to operate efficiently. I do have video's on these guns. Hope this helps appreciate the support !
@chrisa43682 жыл бұрын
Would you say the iwata gun could be used for sealer, base, pearl, and clear? Looking for a good all around gun that can do it all.
@GarageNoise2 жыл бұрын
For sure , it's is really a great all around gun. It's a steal for the price.

When you say you have the volume set to "3 turns out from closed," do you mean 3 complete (365°) turns, or just 3 half turns on the knob (basically 1.5 complete 365° turns)?
@GarageNoise2 жыл бұрын
Three full turns from closed. That's not set in stone. I would start there , the important thing is you want a good med to wet coat on base and a good wet coat when applying clear. Appreciate the question and support!

Great video Chris,, do you ever use an airbrush for doing small bits like stone chips

I have found it not to be as effective as I'd like. So I stick to a touch up pen.

Enjoying your channel. Trying to learn from all of your videos. I recently purchased the budget friendly gun you spoke about that amazon sells and that Eastwood sells rebranded in their brand. I get you said they’re great for small compressors but I’m sure my 60 gallon 5hp ingersol Rand compressor is plenty cfm for it? But my overall question is I’m debating on painting my 68 cougar myself, which would be my first car I paint myself in my garage. I’m planning on painting it a tri-coat pearl white, kinda like in this video. Do you think this paint choice/job is something that is do-able for someone painting their first car in their garage? Thanks

Nice videos. I am wondering because you dont use a paintbooth and you spray customers cars, dont you have lots of dirt in it? Do you spray the floors with water before spraying? Can you show us the fans your using? Greetz from The Netherlands!
@GarageNoise2 жыл бұрын
Neatherlands cool! I do as much as I can to reduce trash in paint. I have a video with the step I take. I don't het alot of trash in the paint only slightly more than sprayiny in a booth. I do wet the floor down.

No, it comes with a cup, you can use whatever adapter you need for your system.
