I use a Henson now, but I enjoyed a gillete superspeed for years before that.

I simply don't understand why you didn't initially soak in hot tap water and Dawn dish detergent prior to all the other steps.

I've got one of these in great condition mechanical wise, just needs a good cleaning, but I'm interested in totally disassembling the razor so I can clean it and buff/polish it up! It was handed down to me and hasn't been used in probably 40 years!

Question to sanitize it and do you just put it in 70% rubbing alcohol?

Another great tip...is to use your dishwasher! I use a toothbrush and Dawn dish soap...scrub it nice and good....then the open it up and stick it in the dishwasher...that way it cleans sanitizes and removed any soap scum ECT...heated dry preferably!!

I don’t have a dish washer so that’s a technique I forget 😂

But will the dishwasher soap ruin anything? And will this technique work with titanium razors?

@@zacheboy2001 I'm just glad you didn't say that your dishwasher was Noelle!!🤣😂

@@brucebanner3566 I don't think so... The heat and dish detergent is meant to clean and sanitize your silverware plastic cups...ect ...works for me

@@brucebanner3566No, Matt at razor emporium recommends doing that with razors.

Interesting using toothpicks I usually go in with toothbrush and apple vinegar then baking soda then the anti bacterial soap
@zacheboy20015 жыл бұрын
I went the toothpick route because I wasn’t sure what was on the razor and it came right off while the razor was dry.

It could work but you have to careful because you don’t know what condition the plating is in. There’s not much a toothbrush can’t get out that a brass brush can with these razors. I’m sure there’s a place for it. Just some of these razors barely have plating left and some that do it’s just so thin. Depends on the razor and condition. Nickel is more durable usually
