Showing up here because I am a 48yo man and I recently inherited some extremely vintage dolls from my deceased mother. We're talking a couple that are turn of the 20th century, heck maybe even earlier. Some of em are HER mother's dolls, so who knows how old they may be. I'm wanting to be extremely careful and you seem like a great place to start. Thanks for these tips. I'm absolutely absorbing this video lol Cheers

This was very helpful!! My mom just gave me a couple bins of my old barbies from the late 80's/ early 90s that I have been kind of piecing back together, and I need to clean the "old" off, LOL. She also gave me all my old American girl stuff. Can I clean American Girl clothes this way as well?

I don't have experience with American Girl clothes, but I would imagine it would work on most any doll clothes (except the really old antique stuff of course!)

I was so glad to find this! My childhood dolls were in a box that got wet. They all got horrible mold on them. They were my most cherished dolls, and the most special one is a 1965 Furga teen doll that my brother gave me when I was 6. I am now 61 and my brother has passed away. I really want to save her. Can you tell me what to do? Or do you clean dolls for other people? If so, how much do you charge? I hope you can contact me soon so I can quit trying to find a solution. You'd be surprised that Google can't find anything or anyone who can help me!! Thanks!!

My experience is mostly with Barbie type dolls, but I haven't had great luck with mold. There are lots of doll groups on Facebook, someone might be able to help you on there.

I have a barbie with a split neck, lock tight glue? Where do you purchase this?

I've used Loctite Plastics bonding system, I got it from Amazon. Just make sure you use exactly what you need and not in excess or it will ooze and leave residue around the split.
