So wonderful to see Henson, Danielle, Connor, Patrick, and Kenny 🏡 It does take a family to work a farm 🌾or a ranch 🌵. Just so happy at the progress that Flicka 🐎 is making! She is scared and has an attitude, which is a shame. The best thing for her life and career is to become a well-trained and well-behaved horse. If not, Flicka could find herself in a less than good home 😑 And 👏👏👏 to Loki 🐕‍🦺 too!

OMG that first shot of Connor in denim and in a black hat, such a little Henson; good tease about his date in the first gen, made him blush. Henson got his hands full with the bronk Flickr, she needs sooo much education. That shot of the cattle coming up the hill with the range in the background was magic.

Just love seeing real cowboys at work ! Loki at only a year old has watched and learned how to do his job ! I love the German Sheherd Dog ! Really liked how Henson let Flicka have her head for a run ! Did her confidence a good turn . He is such a good trainer and darn fine cowboy ! Oh the things we have to do(or not get to do!)as moms😊! You still gave us a nice ride along Danielle ! That was a very beautiful shot of the cowboys driving the herd up the hill !

I did not know it snowed in your area. Years ago bought a couple of wrangler lined denim coats. Give one to dad for Christmas. They are warm , I guess that is why I can't find them any where! My sister knit a scarf 40 yrs ago , give it to me for Christmas. It sure felt good in are zero tempatures.

Loved it!! Flicka's first ride out looked liked she did okay, but have to credit much of it to that cowboy on her back. Henson's horsemanship is so enjoyable to watch and glad you had the GoPro on him and miked up 👍 Fun to watch Loki, you could tell he was lovin every second of it :) Once again super job on the video Danielle👏👍 And Mom you made your cute cowboy blush on the ride home :) Probably not the first time or will be the last lol. My family had a mare named flicka . Dad trained her as he did all his horses.flicka trained all of us. She could do it all. She took my younger brother to world champion little britches in co. Can't remember the year 1960s anyway. Funnest thing for me was cutting. Dad said pick your cow then give her her head and hold on. She will do the rest.

...hmm...well, if I think it through regarding turning your horse towards the cows rather than away, you also don't want to interrupt your own field of vision, by having your back to the cows. Also, it just feels like it's more consistent: don't let the horse turn its butt towards what it's supposed to be paying attention to, rather FACE it, so they know what the priority is. ??? Was cute the way Flicka got all big eyed at the old hood, lol!

Good job, Henson. I found years ago riding in horse shows that a horse moved closer to the edge of the arena will slow down in pleasure and equitation classes. It's as if it helps them to change their focus.

Have you ever tried a bull horn. Back in the 70's my brother inserted a bull horn in his car. He would blow that bull horn and all of the cows came running.. We used it several time to call the stock cows in from the back pasture.

What a nice day! Bit dicey riding Flicka longside the fence but she was glad to open up and catch Blondie. What's with the sorrel horse passing thru the tunnel with the docked tail? Danielle, why don’t you guys ride utv, Atv, dirt bikes? I know you’ve Winn’s grew up with horses on the ranch. Just something you’re used to? Hensen, yeah riding a new horse getting them out running first gets them tired quick so they obey quicker. Less likely to do something out of the ordinary or catch you off guard. AKa run the “piss and vinegar” out of them. Have you ever heard that expression.
