Tips for beginners on playing the Digimon TCG!

I want as many people to try and play the Digimon TCG as possible and in this video I cover couple of tips and tricks to help you get through games in the earlier stages of your Digimon career.
This video is for beginners of the TCG, who already know the basic rules of the game, what the memory gauge is, how to play, how to win etc. But may be struggling against opponents and want some advice.
I am no regional winner, but I do win games (sometimes lmao) because I stick to core rules about using memory and playing to my deck's strengths.

I'm so glad to hear that! I was SO nervous when I went to my first one, I didn't know anyone and had never played a TCG before like that. But this community is lovely and my opponents helped me learn how to play.

I really do enjoy this game as well. My time to play has also been limited lately. I hope to have more time over the winter. I applaud you for videos like this to help newer players. Explaining strategies and game terminology will help so many people learning to play. You are a great advocate for Digimon!

I've been collecting this game for a while now but I do want to play against other people. In real life at my local tournament store but my LTS. Moved to a bigger location so they can have more space for tournaments and merchandise to sell. I hope that when I get well that I'll get to go to their new location someday.

I agree with you Strawberrypi I really love the Digimon Cardgame a lot cause there’s no telling who’s Gonna win or lose with Vanguard & Yugioh could both learn from Digimon. I’ve also said this b4 many of Times but you are the Kindest most Likeable person I’ve ever seen I truly wish there more people like you playing these Cardgames you play for fun & you’ve actually been helping me ever since I’ve first seen you’re Classics boosters set all those months ago love you’re reactions to the artworks like Gattomon PTSD 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 that one was priceless. Between you and me Strawberrypi especially my Ulforce deck I know it’s win con unsespend & smash the beep out of my opponents but ultimately I just play the main evolution line from Veemon all the way to Veedramon then Aeroveedramon then his final form UlforceVeedramon I don’t run any other lines I run the 3 main Tamers like Rina for well obvious reasons 💚💚 V-Tamer tai & last but not least Davis Motomiya cause all 3 them are Veemons Partners from the anime & manga so I gotta Respect my Blue Dragon pal 😎😎. I've recently decided to start getting into the game after finding out about the newer TCG from some friends. The old one definitely didn't do it for me, but as a long time Digimon fan I've been excited to try this one out. Thanks for the quick lesson. I'm just a returned collector(for now) after a decade, or so, I stopped playing Digimon card games - some of them were confusing. One thing I didn't get after getting a starter deck is that "memory-counter ladder" thing. The box didn't came with it. According to a fellow Digimon card KZbinr, long-time collector and "historian," the current card game is very playable as his own words - "I ... think Bandai got it." Respect your passion for Digimon. Something that I envy of that I once held long ago.

If you are close to London, I would def recommend going to Brotherhood Games in South London, they have an amazing card cabinet with all the singles you may need

Great video! I'm still learning myself, I don't get to play as much as I hoped either because of work, but still love to play! One thing I would like to add to your 4 points is 'Don't be afraid to play on a budget'. I tried to get others to play, but most look at the cost of the more used cards and are like 'that is too much', but I think if people would try out cheaper alternatives, the deck may not be as strong, but is still playable and good at least for a beginner to try to get a feel of the game, at the very least.
