When checking feedback of sellers take note of what they normally sale. If it's a seller that sells everything or normally deals in antiques/knick knacks then either ask them how they package their books when mailing or give them some guidelines on how to ship. I come across buyers that are crying because they got a silver or golden age book that was damaged when mailed. Folks that don't deal in comics don't know how to mail them and sometimes they simply throw it in a manila envelope and send it out without any protection. Also don't accept media mail. It's not legal for comics even though it's cheap. Offer to pay more for the postage because media mail is the slowest possible way to get your item and the chances of it getting damaged are increased when going that route. Plus if the P.O. checks, rare but it happens, then you will have to pay the postage difference when it arrives. I've bought and sold on eBay for 20 years and it's only happened twice. Both times the sellers charged for enough shipping to send either first class or priority and they cheaped out and sent it media mail.

All great advice!! I've ordered books a few times that were returned and the seller was stuck paying double shipping because they tried to cheap out with Media mail.

never purchased from an international ebay seller before. always worried about the book being more prone to damage from the long transit, and handling. do alot of people tend to get good results?

Not sure about other people. But I have never had a bad overseas transaction. In fact I have 3 packages coming in this week from overseas.

Comic Vantage stupid me didn't buy but the owner of the comic shop said Spawn issue 1 at this point usually sells for around $20. Looking back on it I should have bought it. If it's there the next time I go there I'll buy that book

On eBay when you get ready to buy comics there's a space asking for a code to check out what's is the code for checking out.

The only time you have a code is if the seller offers one. Usually it's a limited time offer or a one time discount from an email.

+MgGaming deals like that can always be found at yard sales and Craigslist. So many good deals if you know where to look!

What good deals have you found on Craigslist? I'm really not comfortable with Craigslist as I like it to be shipped to my house more than anything lol. Have yet to find such a fantastic deal tht makes me happy. I don't really see anything that well right now. Most people are trying to make a profit and not trying to get rid of their collections.

Last deal I ran across was 3 long boxes full for 100$. But a friend of mine hit the motherload will a 20000 book collection for 2000$. Thats 10 cents a book!!! Needless to say I was jealous! But sometimes you have to take the good with the bad. Most of these lots will be site unseen, but for .10 cents a book there is no way you can not make money, even if each book only sold for $1 a piece.

Thanks fantastic! Most people are selling for a good profit and don't want to give me a good deal. I found someone who is gonna give me 250 D.C. Books for 80 dollars with free shipping which is a pretty good deal!! I can't really find any dead that fantastic though!! Where do you usually find them? Have you found any in thrift stores?

Yeah like anything else, just gotta be patient. The deals are out there! Nothing at thrift stores yet, but it doesn't mean I don't look! Garage and estate sales and craigslist are the best places.

I've bought from them before. They usually buy from sellers in bulk, then auction off the lesser grade books in runs or lots. They also CGC the higher end stuff then put them up for auction. They probably do the lots to download stock, in order to generate more revenue to make their big buys. I've never had issues with them, and they are great for fillers.

I've recently started buying from Newkadia.com The owner is very responsive, each book is graded/sealed with board/bag and they ship same day. They usually have tons of Sales up to 50 percent, and they price out milehighcomics every time...and I live close to mile high. They also have a system where you can be put in a que for out of stock books. They are also very responsive to disputes due to condition/grading, and ship in sturdy boxes designed for comics.

@@BF-Gator well that's a thing in itself. International shipping charges going out of the US have gone crazy in the last year. And with eBay's international shipping program allot of sellers don't see those crazy rates. But yeah, sometimes eBay is charging that much. Big reason why I don't sell books international. The shipping charges make the books not worth it.

Always ask! Any reputable seller will be more than happy to supply pictures and if they will not, then don't buy from them. They are either hiding something or just very uncooperative. So if there is an issue they will not be helpful at all.
