Tips for buying used cars

I did everything right! I just bought a 1995 BMW 318i convertible! The previous owner had it for 18 years! He traded it in to buy a car for his son, then after that, the dealer just drove it around whenever! It was either in his garage, or at the dealership upstairs! But maintenance was good, no smoke, no rips or tears.... Now it sits in MY garage, waiting for sunny days!
