now I gotta go drag my 95 model 325i out of its resting place and check the ICV on it because I ran myself nuts trying to diagnose this issue. mine wouldn't even start and run at all unless i held the gas down and if it did start, i had to keep it above 2500rpm or it immediately died. and being a 95 and OBD1 I cant use the adapter and software from bimmer forums to check anything. it will only read OBD2 96 and up

why to turn on the heat? what is the purpose?

Interesting, my driverside window used to auto up and auto down from a single press and one day it no longer would auto up, still auto down just fine. I did this relearn you shows but it still won’t auto up??

great video!! I have a 1999 323i automatic top...My problem is the switch by the dash constantly flashes red. no movement on the top. I manually opened the top, but would only open about 3 inches and the back of the top would not raise so I could not put the top open all of the way.

E36 M3/4/5 owned for 13 years and it’s daily driven. Currently has 115k miles. Been amazingly reliable over the years and has needed just basic maintenance. MPG is 22 in mixed driving and 28 highway. Get lots of compliments, thumbs up and folks taking pics.

in my case i snapped the hinge for the tonneu , please make sure you disengaged it as getting the hinge out is not fun

i wish i had the space to do this myself. there was a noticeable smell of oil burning. took the car to my mechanic who has been working on the car for years. $1300 bucks to do this job.... but the car is in incredible shape so I am going to shell out the cash... 157k miles original owner

good cars minus the electric windows stuck down and front electric fan shroud but I like my Nazi wagon!

NO, must take off door panels, both connections and apply 12 volt to manually roll up the window; I thought might try BMW someday without any BS but BS! Other snafu was front electric fan shroud which blocks airflow! Not everyone can go buy a new one; shame on Nazi wagons! :(

where did you order the valve cover gasket kit from?

i feel the 4.0 ohv is the best motor that was used in the rangers. it like a timex watch. takes a lickin and keeps on tickin! i had 86 with 2.9 in it . was pretty good but not true 4 wheel drive.

i have had 2 rangers and an explorer they do way better using motorcraft plugs and wires. specially the 1995 4.0 ohv. i had a ranger and explorer with this motor. but have had 3- 4.0 ohv motor, that prefer the motorcraft brand. if u find it fowls out the plugs then put the motorcraft in it and it will quit fowling them out. both my 95- 4.0 ohv motors would reject any other brand besides motorcraft. my 99 just stick with the motorcraft. also motorcraft does have the clip on wires for the ignition coil. they are little pricey but life time warranty. it worth it. motorcraft is mid grade product and also motorcraft oil filter. 4.0 ohv does better with as many motorcraft parts you can stick with. learned this all from experience with the 4.0 ohv.

Second, I m from Brazil, so i m sorry by my english. Third if someone could help me i would stay very greatful and probabily it maybe help anothers bimmers too. In my cabrio 325i (94) germany, all the sistems are working good but when i m reseting the top tonneau cover dont close. Someone would know what sensor is not working ? five stages in the reset top : 1° the tonneau cover opens ( it`s ok ) 2° all the top get out ( ok ) 3° rear windshield get open ( ok ) 4° tonneau cover closes ( it s not working ) 5° rear windshield closes .... Thank you for everything

I’m hoping someone will respond to this old thread :-/. We successfully removed fender before watching this video, but had a long black piece of memory type foam fall out and now that we are ready to replace the fender, we don’t know where this rubbery cushion goes. You can see the item on the ground in the last part of this video. If anyone knows how it’s supposed to be positioned thank you!!!

I know it’s probably a long shot but I’m hoping someone can help me with this issue. I have replaced the front motor, both fuses, and re connected both rear top motors, even doing the c-clamp trick on the toneau cover. When I go to reset the convertible it sounds as if the car’s door locking mechanism is clicking over and over, and the lights in the footwell dim with each click. I have followed every other step and have progressed from a flashing light on the convertible control to no light now followed by this issue.

didn't work for me. drivers window only goes 3/4 with "all windows" button. have to press drivers window button to get it all the way up. goes down fine.

The rubber grommet IS NOT a fix. It does not stay on and will slip right off if you try pulling that linkage off again. I've try several size grommets, they do not work well enough.
