Thank you so much for your great video, it is so helpful. You asked for other tipps: I heared that stickers are fun as well. Putting them on the face, in a notebook or on the seat might be funny for a little one (just make sure that you buy some, that are easily removeable). A good idea is also to have a little present, for every flight. Like a book (they love when its something to discover forvexample a fluffy bunny or so) a Teddybear or a little car to play with.... Just something new and exciting.for start and landing: breastfeeding is also a good alternative.And I will always take an extra blanket with me. Last time the airconditioning was to strong. I hope this will help you and some others as well. Thx again for your video!

Such great information - not sure if this is new information, since this video is a few years old now, but if you place a baby in a sling and/or other body carrier, the baby does not have to be removed. We took our twin stroller and ended up using the carriers instead to get through security - it was faster than waiting in the normal lines as your body will have to be scanned with a wand instead of the machines. I would recommend not taking a stroller if possible as it takes longer to get through security and takes a bit of time to get back after the flight on occasions.

Very helpful tips. I'm traveling with my two year old by the end of this year and I'm already way over my head on what to bring, what to do, and what to expect. Your video gave me some idea on how things might go. Though, I know different airports, different airlines, and different destination may handle things differently, but it's sure a good thing to have some idea.

I highly recommend getting the Pockit Stroller. It's the best stroller for traveling. I folds down so much that I was able to take inside the plane with me and just opened it up once I was out.

@@sarahmsuya5416 it went better than I thought. I made sure to get him tired before the plane and breastfeed him during take off. We were able to use a carseat on the way back for part of the flight. He fell asleep for at least half of both flights. Also, I used a carrier during security and kept snacks, diapers and new toy in an smaller bag, including scented diaper baggie.

12:20 I agree. I was on a flight once where kids were running around the plane and screaming and he parents didn't do a single thing to get them to calm down. In fact the dad fell asleep on all three seats (his and 2 kids). What pissed me off as well as others wasn't the kids running around it was the fact that the parents did nothing

Qatar business class , child 2 years old and under doesn’t need their own seat. They can be your lap child ( and pay 10% extra off your seat price )

I only plan short trips. Our first trip will be this May for our birthdays. Super excited but scared. I have done lots of research and have already started packing so I know we’ll be ok. Even got a new travel stroller. She’s 21 months now but will be just about to hit 24 months when we go on our trip lol I saved with that. Next year will be a road trip to see more scenery and to eat more foods lol.

Most other airlines don't allow a child to have their own seat under the age of 2. Paying for a seperate business seat is crazy...but I suppose they are using the same seat an adult would so it makes sense. Great video. I'm taking my 2 year old on her 11th flight soon and I'm still watching these kinda videos! :D

Thanks so much for making this video! There is not enough online about this. We are also going on a 30 hour journey with our 6 months old. But what's interesting I enquired about business class and there was only a 10% charge for the baby - no extra seat. This was with 3 different airlines. Maybe it's different in the US

This was a great video, but I was hoping to hear advice about car seat options from flight to a rental car. I did hear what was said about the car seat on the plane

i'm not sure if you still need advice, but i'd reccomend, if you can afford it and if your child is young enough, to purchase their own seat and simply take their car seat with you. its easy enough to strap into an airline seat and it makes them feel safe and comfortable. then you can pop it in the rental car and off you go!

@@rachel705 Thank you. I checked out some other YT videos that helped me, too. Basically, I can check in my stroller & car seat to the gate. It's optional for me to bring his car seat onto the plane if I purchase another seat. The airline has other options, too. After flight, I can retrieve his car seat and stroller. I can strap his car seat in the car rental without using the base. So, I can leave the base at home. Hope this helps anyone else. Happy travels.

Hello, Some planes are better in terms of making you refresh and giving you a refined and smooth ride. (I am not adverising as you pick the airline,but to get a good plane,you will need to select a flight that is flown by that plane) Some of the best in the world for safety and comfort are the Boeing 747 (jumbo jet),B757 and Boeing 767 as they have more fresh air in the cabin and more air pressure so your ears will hurt less and you will feel as if you were almost on the ground and get less jet lag. The 747 is a must for pregnant mothers due to its smooth landing gear giving smoother landings and also it's fantastic ride through turbulence,cushioning everyone from the bumps. Hi! Great tips! Actually most of the airlines charge 10 %[ of The tícket value when you do business class. Lan and tam now latam are one of the most baby unfriendly and charge an extra seat which is ridiculous, that's why we don't travel with them :P. Anyway, I traveled delta, Condor, ana, finnair and American Airlines in business and they charged only 10%. Either if you buy the ticket or if you redeem miles.

sachinthani ranga for me it was so difficult, we left in the am so the first flight it was so hard she was screaming but then he fell asleep for a hour or 2. But second flight she did pretty good, much better than before. It was difficult for me because I was traveling alone with no help.
