A library card can save you money in other areas of life too...I put the Hoopla app on my TV and use it to checkout movies and shows!

You're toooooo kind 😭😭😭 and yesssss! It has soooo many benefits. Hoopla even has new releases of music too! I also found out that there is a website called Kanopy that connects to library cards and you can watch tv shows and movies too. It's similar to Netflix. Mine personally doesn't have a lot of good options but it's still freeeeee.

Such a soothing voice and sweet personality!! I also appreciate the theme of being nice to yourself through the journey, esp. with DNF (I also learned what that means LOL). Thank you!!!

I quit reading fiction for 10+ years. My life overturned, I was suffering from severe religious trauma. I could no longer get into the state where the words on the page vanished and the story simply played out in my head. I think what helped eventually was your item at 6:45, forming the habit. What you are describing is pretty much the two-minute rule but applied to reading. Basically, tricking the mind with a supereasy minimum, but once that's achieved, going beyond. It's enough to overcome giving up before one begins. I started at 10 pages pages a day and worked my way up.

We really do have to trick ourselves into doing things that are good for us, don't we? Haha.

How much time do you spending reading in a day? Both physical/ebooks and audio book listening. I would be so curious. I also totally agree with not listening to audiobooks while driving...can be super duper distracting!!

Lately I haven't been reading every day but on the weekdays when I have time, I usually read for an hour. On the weekends I usually read for about 4 hours a day but split it up into 1hr sessions throughout the day.

@@thePMreader okay that makes sense! I used to love reading physical books but I can’t even make it through a couple of pages without yawning 🥱

I'm the same 🫣 I can maybe make it 20 minutes but somehow it'll feel like I've been reading for 2 hours. Listening along to the audiobook usually helps me keep a slightly longer attention spans. Hahaha
