Tips For Hiking Peak to Prosperity Passage of the Palmetto Trail

The Peak To Prosperity Passage of the Palmetto Trail is a 10.7 mile, easy, flat, passage that is family friendly and dog friendly. It is great for hiking or biking. It follows an old railroad trestle and crosses 14 trestle bridges. The trail is mostly shaded, so can be done in warmer weather. It can be a bit buggy at times.

We started at Kibler's Bridge Parking at mile 9.5 on the trail
3593 Kibler Bridge Rd, Prosperity, SC 29127
This parking lot is the closest lot to the end of the trail but is NOT at the end of the trail. You would have to walk down the trail from the parking lot to mile 10.7 and back to the parking lot, if you want to complete the entire trail. There is no parking lot at the very end of the trail.
We ended at mile 0 at the Alston Trailhead Parking Lot. Google 'Alston Trailhead-Palmetto Trail' to get GPS directions. This is the address according to Google: State Rd S-20-35, Little Mountain, SC 29075
There is another trailhead with parking and resupply at Wilson's Grocery at mile 6.5 Wilson's Grocery: 5941 US-176, Pomaria, SC 29126
Hope Station Trailhead at mile 3.5 also has parking and is located at 1317 Hope Station Rd, Pomaria, SC 29126.
Peak Pharmacy is visible from the trail at mile .5 with parking and resupply. 22 River St. Peak SC 29075

Update: I rode the trail today 3/7/23 . The bathrooms are indeed open at the gas station. They are located on the outside on the right side of the gas station, both men's and women's.

3:34 - worth the few minutes to walk to Main Street in Pomaria. You can envy the price of the old gas pump that is still there right on the street.

Do you know if you purchase something at the gas station can you then use the restrooms?

It may have just been due to Covid or maybe out of order? Have no idea, I would have bought something to use the restroom there too. It was last year when I hiked it I didn’t stop there on my recent hike that I filmed.
