Excellent video, I will try a smaller version. I am interested in recycling so not only yarn but materials from the thrift store may create amazing tapestries. Thank you !

This is lovely Janelle! I noticed you started with the River In the middle rather than flowing in from sides. Is that intentional or a strategy to managing a large project? I’m working on something about 25in wide and finding the start to be tough.

Do mean taking a large weaving off the loom specifically? We do have a few videos showing how to take smaller weavings off the loom. But I can definitely add taking a big weaving off the loom to my list :) This loom is 4' wide x 3' high.

How do you adjust the warp tension once you've already started working?
@spruceandlinen5 жыл бұрын
The same way I would if I hadn't, it takes a little more pulling, and I do so carefully. Thankfully I didn't have a ton done yet when I readjusted.

Hi Jenelle. I've just found your channel and I'm bone watching your videos! You've brought back my creative mojo! 🤩 When you're outlining the areas with a normal weave, how do you know which is over/under? (I might be over thinking this!) Or doesn't it matter, just do the opposite when filling in the negative spaces?

Hi! love this so much. How long in real time did it take you to complete this piece in 1 sitting? :)
@spruceandlinen4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! This was quite a long time ago so I don’t remember the exact time, it was definitely not in one sitting, it was spread out over 2-3 days, and it was a design I had done before.

Hi! May I know the amount of yarn that you usually use on this big tapestry?
@spruceandlinen4 жыл бұрын
It so depends on what kind of weaving it is, what stitches and techniques you're using, how much texture, and how long the fringe is. The easiest way to somewhat estimate it is to look at what you use in a smaller piece, and scale that up. :)
