I love these videos, thanks so much. I've never seen someone do a video on how it actually is to sit down with the people who ask you questions. Does anybody know of any videos out there? Just wanting to try my best to not 'incriminate' myself :p

thanks Taylor! I'm so glad you love them!! I don't know of any videos like that, but it's such a short process. Basically you go into a room with the doctor (just like any medical dr office room) They will just ask you the same questions you've already had to answer a thousand times. Drugs, alcohol, law violations, surgeries, accidents/scars/broken bones, finances. Mine was super chill (thankfully). When people say "you are who your paperwork says you are" Your recruiter will give you a paper before you go to MEPS. At the bottom of that page it will have any additional things your recruiter needed to note (know those things). So for me it was like -needs corrective lenses -birth control implant -speeding ticket (March 2020) -wisdom teeth removal (Feb 2015) So if my dr. were to ask "have you had any law violations?" and I said "no" ...that would be dumb bc it's on the paperwork and I got caught lying BUT if the dr. asks "have you has any surgeries other than getting your wisdom teeth removed?" My answer better be "no" because if it's not on your paperwork then it "doesn't exist" I hope this helped!! Basically DON'T BRING UP ANYTHING NOT ON YOUR PAPERWORK and KNOW WHAT YOUR PAPERWORK SAYS

A tip that I learned at MEPS was: Do not put your hands in your pockets. I am supposed to go back sometime next week and hopefully be swearing in this time.

Just went to meps today and i can confirm guys can bring their wallets. I also can confirm i got a consult and now I'm gonna have to go again😂 oh yeah also a tip don't expect to make it in one day, half of us didn't. 😂

Hey i just talked to a recruiter for the first time and im meeting up with him in another week, got like the beginning packet i have to fill out and everything. About how long from this point did it take you to go to Meps?

Roughly 2 months

For me (Makenna) it took 2 weeks, so it will all depend on if you have all the paperwork you need and if you background check goes well and if there are any waivers. I went in with all the documents I needed and he scheduled me for MEPS for 2 weeks later.

So the MEPS "designated camera person" would be someone you know? like a friend? Or would it be some employee of theirs?

It would most likely have to be an employee at MEPS, unless you say "hey, can my friend come in and record me" and get the approval

It depends on when the last time you took one is. If it has been within 2 years, then no...they can use that score, BUT you need to have the documentation with your score If it's been over two years, then yes! or if you want to try for a higher score
