Tips for preparing for a tornado

Preparations for a tornado... 1. Backpack- preferably make it waterproof 2. Get yourself several freezer bags gallon size... get a pair of shorts, two T-shirts, and a pair of pajamas and you're going to put them in the gallon freezer bags and squeeze the air and you will be very surprised just how little room will they take and they'll be nice and flat and Light. Extra clothing is important just in case cuz you never know... 3. Get another freezer bag and put a couple pairs of clean socks, clean undies, and if a woman a bra and a couple of strapless spaghetti strap and repeat that with the second freezer bags. 4. Have important papers to your home if you own a house driver's license, Social Security , birth certificate, any important papers if you could laminate them do so if you cannot laminate them put them then in a freezer bag. 5. In another bag but toothbrush, toothpaste, calm, deodorant whatever HPA you want and these could be traveling sizes of course enough to give you 1 or 2 to showers 6. Make sure you have either a credit card or your wallet your driver's license, and some cash in a small quart size waterproof freezer bag. Always make sure to have enough cash to rent a hotel room for at least a couple of days. On top of that have a roll of quarters... 7. A flashlight or headlamp with fresh batteries 8. Storm whistle which is probably going to be one of your most important items here....to have a storm whistle. If a tornado comes through and you're stuck underground under debris may be in a basement or what-have-you, that whistle will be heard very clearly and help will come to you much quicker.
