Thanks so much. You've made me try using the EK remote on the right and it seems to make much more sense now. It was driving me mad, as I found I was only using it to toggle screens and often it would turn off. I have read that any key should turn the remote on but that doesn't work for me. I now find I am using more keys, as my pen hand is already near the EK remote on the right and my left hand is dedicated to the keyboard beside me on the left. I regret not getting Touch. I had Touch with my Intuous Pro which I never used but having it on this screen would be so useful for navigating and especially for typing text when working in Illustrator. Nearly every review here on KZbin said don't bother with Touch but I now think they are wrong. If I upgrade to the 32", I will definitely get touch. Thank you again. EK remote on the right hand side has changed everything - it was going in the bin!

FRANK!!! How did you get that keyboard to pop up at the very end of the video? I only get a keypad when I push the button on the top of the cintiq and I can't find a way to change that. Advice?
@FrankDoorhof
@FrankDoorhof 2 жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly you can change that on the keyboard itself but I don't use Wacom anymore so I can't check. I'm using XP pen at the moment

Frank a question, is there an advantage in making a complete process recipe for capture one to PS? I use the 'edit with' command in CO and set all the parameters but I get a new Tiff inside my catalogue/session when I save the PS edit, so I have both the starting raw and an edited tiff right in my cataloguing application that I can then export as Jpegs, Am I missing some advantages/strategic aspects of what you are doing? or is it so that controlling everything is easier from the cintiq? Love this show format by the way, hope to see more coming, cheers

It's personal I think. I like to have it under one button on the cintiq and set it up as one recipe. Edit in also works of course

I have followed all of the tutorials I see even renaming the keys but it never changes from factory setting do you have any hints what else to try?
@FrankDoorhof
@FrankDoorhof 5 жыл бұрын
You can try to set it per app. So select Photoshop and make custom keys within that Photoshop preset.

When showing the remote, it would be handy for viewers to see/read the image if it is 3 or 4 times lager; taking up more of the screen.

The Wacom Remote . . . looks Very Helpful to Keep Moving the Drawing Hand and to Maintain Focus on the Artwork . The Clip Studio Tabmate is a Disappointment for such a High Price .

@@FrankDoorhof In wacom desktop centre you can save your settings to a *.wacomprefs file. I would be nice if you could upload yours and provide the link here.

It's highly personal what you need and where so it's best if you make it yourself. And mostly stock works pretty well

@@FrankDoorhof Well, I guess lots of people click on your video in search for a "best practice" preset for photoshop for example. Sure, hotkeys are highly personal but many people don't have an overview on all hotkeys and others have problems selecting the most important ones. So your presets would help many people here.

With looks I agree but programming a remote or Wacom is really very personal. For example I use certain options that someone else will do different and there for have another order. I also switch sometimes when I find a new way of working ;)

I still haven't gotten used to using the EK since I usually use the WACOM in plain darkness and I cant see the keys. I also have a hard time to remember which key does what - especially when I have so many programs to use....

Light&Shadow Make Sure the keys are the same in all programs and it should be pretty easy and fast.
