Dude, love this. The re positioning is a key that I use. Sometimes I really get tunnel visioned but on my best days I can realize what I am doing and I need to move. That's where the big plays get made for me especially on Shoreline at Health Resort or Customs at Dorms. I usually surprise myself more than the squad I just wiped.
@psyanide16035 жыл бұрын
Solo play = learn a map, just one to start. Once you have that down do night raids and use a suppressor and ambush from obscure firing positions. You don't *have* to camp but if you know a good spot that overlooks and entrance or exit, well... it might feel cheap but it's a valid tactic, but then I've always been more recon/sniper in tactical games. But for sure use a suppressor at night, I was running just a basic AK and ambushing but all it takes is killing 1 guy who turns out to be in a Duo and up, and you've just given your position away 110%.
@exiledseele47565 жыл бұрын
I agree with the armour tip. I agree with them all, but the armour one is perfect. I always tell people who want to run solo that loadout and armour is key, the turning speed, movement speed and stamina usage, being solo, it's worth having lighter so you can move and turn faster.

This is the first fps i’ve ever really dove into before and haven’t been able to find many videos on the basics of pvp fighting. It’s all usually more advanced skipping over things advanced players might take for granted. For example when I round a corner am I pushing caps lock and ADSing and slow walking around the corner, or just fast walking around and going for hip firing. I’m still very unsure of when to do these things and when to not.
@donniepierce22935 жыл бұрын
One of my biggest problems is ill hesitate to shoot. Granted sometimes it's best not to engage but i feel like 90% of the shots i didn't take could have been a kill. I guess i need to spend more time in offline mode to get more comfortable with the firearms.
@sarnem53304 жыл бұрын
Offline mode does help with this. However I find myself hesitating more often than not which leads to my downfall. Just went shoreline geared up (for me it seemed like I was wearing good stuff). Got to radar station and a guy is sat top floor and one taps my face because I didn't shoot when I saw him. Just gotta remind yourself that it gets better and the more you fail the more you will learn :)
@tbam21-123 жыл бұрын
I’ve been playing solo for a while now since my friends stopped playing, and it’s driving me crazy i feel like every engagement is against a squad and it ends up being wasted time in a raid.
@canton71804 жыл бұрын
Another is to be patient, if you see a stack don’t engage them unless you have an aoe weapon, move and hold to listen, do not constantly sprint, learn your maps and extracts, learn the choke points, sometimes I will literally wait until there are only 10 minutes left to go out and scavenge the spoils of battles, you would be surprised what gets left behind because they ran out of room.
@SwissMarksman3 жыл бұрын
Never sprint around Loot points. Also trigger discipline. Just today I was on a solo run as a PMC. Only equipped with an MP5. I layed down on the ground because I had to Alt Tab for a few second. Came back, heard 2 guys running right next to me. (Both seemed really good equipded. Had Snipers gear on) I followed them because they also went to the extraction. Needless to say I never tought about to shoot at one of them unless necessary. At one point I lost them & just decided to fuck off to the extraction.
@SwissMarksman3 жыл бұрын
Also at woods, you'll see if there where new players around before or not. New player never loot the Cars. Also they hardly go to Death Man's place & that little secret loot on the way to the extraction.

Hey Jesse, maybe an idea to make a beginners guide video about how spawns work in Tarkov? For example, does seeing 49:59 on the clock when you start raid mean you are the first wave? are there even more waves of pmc's coming in? do scavs respawn? That kind of stuff.
@spellcaster39ify5 жыл бұрын
Nicest KZbinr streaming about killing people. Great tips - so critical to listen listen listen and use free look to pinpoint direction of sounds. I would also add that running away when you're going to lose is another key solo tip. I was losing to a geared PMC in Factory and ran away - he fell off a high catwalk and I saw him drop. He busted both legs and I was able to hit him while he was applying splints. If I had stayed and fought I would have been toast.

The best tip for a beginner would be to pick up everything you find and then use the traders and flea market to see what has value and what doesn't. The more you play the more you will learn. Also watching streamers play can help by watching what they pick up and what they leave behind.

Ima give some newer players a tip. When starting out, don't worry about modding your weapons, or using the best of weapons as they can get confusing when starting out, but use the best ammo you can afford (armor penetrative rounds) . A good way to test guns is to go as a scav, and recently it seems as they've gotten a buff and I've received countless scavs with AKs filled with 5.45 bs and 7.62 bp. These ammo would give people more chance of taking out a geared player than a modded gun with shit ammo. This is my opinion so take it as you wish, happy hunting

Tips for new players: Don't suck at pvp. It's the only tip that will actually help. Everything else hinges on your ability to keep other players in front of you. 9 times out of 10, if you don't have an preternatural level of awareness, you are going to get ambushed, shot in the back of the head, or sniped from a concealed position until you are broke. That's where I am. I can't even extract as a scav to recover losses.
@Reginaldesq5 жыл бұрын
The best tip for new players is to wear ears. Ears are far more important than armour. They are not super expensive and available right from the start. Once you get used to wearing ears you'll see why you keep getting ambushed. Players hear you coming (even when your just walking), so, they hide in a bush and point their gun in the direction of the sound, then you walk over the hill and bang.

If you use normal ammo the sound from the gun is suppressed but the bullet still makes a lot of noise as it breaks the sound barrier. However, its hard to tell where the shot came from. You can get subsonic ammo in the game and that is much quieter, although the lower velocity makes it harder to hit moving targets.
