@@MrFishingOhio no joke! I just started tournament fishing last year and after an 8 hour day of casting I could feel it and upgrading rods definitely makes such a big difference in weight and sensitivity!

It is so hard for me to spend a lot of money (over $100) on a rod. I have watched so many friends break rods, NOT from fishing, lol!!! I have been using Ugly Stik rods since I was a kid. I have yet to break one, even banging them around. I would love to just get over it and get 2 or 3 nice rods. My friend has a few expensive rods, man they are so light compared to my Ugly Stiks, lol!!! One day.

I have broken my fair share over the years, rod sleeves are a good way to protect them !
