Tips 'N Tricks: HUMMINBIRD GPS HEADING SENSOR

Excellent video and I have a quick question. I am installing a bow mounted trolling motor on the back of my boat instead of the front. I don't have the space in the front and I have a rail.. so obviously when the trolling motor on the back turns left the boat will go right and vice versa. If I install the heading sensor in the front will it correct the direction that the boat goes in if I am heading to a waypoint or following a track?

if your units are networked can't you just share one heading sensor

Why run 2 gps sensors if 1 unit is dedicated to maps?

For us it’s beneficial because we ledge fish. On the dash unit we mark our waypoints, we then use the bow unit to troll to and keep us on our waypoints. Without the gps on both units it would be very difficult to setup on our waypoints in the correct positions.

@@pdfishing5625 I still don't get the purpose of a second puck if all your units are networked. When you're driving the boat with the gas motor, and you set a way point on a piece of structure that you are eventually going to fish using the bow mount motor wouldn't the puck on the bow be the one to use since it's the one you'll use while fishing?
