What does manual shift mean? My U-Haul truck also has an I shift gear. I believe that is Gear 2? First time driving a 10 ft truck tomorrow. I drive stick shift cars. I'm sure I'll do fine, but it would be helpful to know HOW to shift down for a hill. 😊

I appreciate the video, one question though the job that I have applied for requires driving of a box truck from DC to store, would you even try for the job if you have never driven a box truck before and it only requires a dot medical card is that easy to get or would you recommend getting your CDL first

@@derenevin6900 if you can legally drive the box truck without a CDL, And you get your medical card if you feel comfortable driving in bad traffic and stuff like that I would go ahead and do it ! The medical card is easy to get. The company you’re working for might even get it for you. You would just have to go in and take the medical test.

I'm hope some one can answer this. I'm a recovering addict. Long story short my wife passed away and I took it extremely hard. Now I go to a methadone clinic once a week to pickup my prescription. My question is can I get a dot certificate while being on that medication. I'm on a lower dose that doesn't affect my daily activities. And I know when apply for a job that information stays between me and the doctor.

Depends on your state. But what I know is that it cant make you drowsy or fall asleep otherwise. DOT officer (doctor) will check you over and tell you whether it will affect you or not and if you’re okay to still drive. Again all depends on your state and the doctor you see
