I was at work when I saw the notification and of course wanted to watch it immediately :). Very helpful lesson and very funny; composing the cover is an up and down process, but I also learned that you can't force things to happen. I have one story I've been working on for 5 years now and I have changed it many times, lol. I like the fact you spoke about the principles of designing a cover instead of just jumping into drawing it; without the building blocks you can't make anything and that's what makes your videos feel like going to school...in a good way XD-Be Blessed!!

What you said about the style changing. I like making my cover first to watch me edit it again and again. I’m the end I have three different covers so I have an idea for what I want. I either redraw one of the covers or redraw them all together and make a beautiful, yet creative cover in the end.

something I noticed that I found interesting about my story is that was just kind of thinking about the main focus of the story and I realized that while it does have a specified plot I realized that the main focus of my story has come to solely revolve around the different kinds of relationships that people experience in particular that of the relationship between siblings and just the kinds of relationships you can have with different people such as a friend or a lover and I really love the way it's become.

I honestly I suck at illustrating covers. Real inexperienced artist here. I'll just leave a tip for myself on how to make a cover art: •Color Palette - is your story grim? fun? Color palette is important to give which vibe the manga is trying to tell. •Subject - who is the focal point of the cover? Symbolisms? •Title - is the hardest thing for me is to choose which font fits my story the most and where it is placed appropriately without ruining the cover. •background - abstract background or the actual scene from the story either way will help set the vibe of the story you're trying to sell.

ARMAN Hussain well colored pencils are good for backgrounds, just really go darker and go smaller the farther away it is, that's my suggestion, I'm making a book as well so this is the thing I use XD

If I may also add in regards to font, it's important to make sure it's legible and check on any copyright and creative Commons licences on the font if you plan to make money off of your manga. I've found a few fonts on dafont that are completely free to use, some that require crediting if used, and some that don't allow use for such things. Although the odds of getting into a lawsuit over it aren't that big, it's better safe than sorry.

You'll see that nothing is spoiled for the reader but just enou f h info is given to male the reader feel like "ooh... that kind of sounds interesting! Let me read a few pages to see what I think about it." You want to intrude them without boring them with too much reading, and you don't want to spoil any cool details for them. It will take a few drafts to get it right, and be prepared to feel like rewriting it a few months from now LOL The better you become as a writer, the more likely you'll be to rewrite this ♡ Good luck and have fun ♡ +Celestial Comet

Omg. This came out at the perfect time. See, I did a writing workshop with Anita Bell, a really famous author. Author of How to pay of your mortgage in 5 years by a person who did it in 3. Also the Diamond eye trilogy and more. (I'm in Australia by the way, 6th grade.) We had to write a story in 3 days and she taught us about writing, stories, publishing etc. We had to make a story and design a cover. Everyone's story would be made into an anthology. I'm really striving for mine to be placed in the front, middle or back (Where the strongest stories are, as I was taught by Anita) I really needed my stories cover to be amazing to make my story even more amazing. Oh, thank you for the video, I was allways wondering how to do it! I tried to put all the characters on the cover (And I still don't have any Font for the Title), and it allways looked bad. Now that I see your cover and you're saying this I have so much better ideas coming, I'll have to work on that now. ^^

I'm sorry dear, but my work is sold in stores and are mass produced in our factory; I do not bind my own books. And as the cofounder of a growing publishing company, I know we sell thousands of copies a month and would not be able to meet demands if we bound books by hand :( +Kaiser DaShawn
