Thanks, good info, unfortunately, my 89 front rails are ugly after years of tire swaps, work, ect. Was looking for a cap to cover the rails and help future lifts.

The manual says to put the vehicles jack in the notches.

That's for the jack that came with the car not the one he's using.

Dude, that reinforced spot behind the front tire is exactly where the 82 owners guide says to place the jack. Pisses me off man, I’m looking at that chinsey spot just knowing it’s going to bend the fu$&@!? Lip there. Thanks for the info

Yeah but it's specifically for the jack that comes with the car. It has a slit in the jack that the lip sits in.
